I wouldn’t expect presidential candidates to know about a story like this but wisdom dictates that if you don’t know a subject well you decline to comment on it. I don’t see how he can backpedal on this one successfully. If he made those remarks in ignorance then his ignorance was quite profound. If he is up to speed on this story his comments reflect some really bad judgment and loathsome pandering to the worst of political correctness.
Anyone - what to speak of a presidential candidate - if asked about something they had little or no knowledge of, would say so. Not open their yap and spout idiocy.
