You got me curious and doing a little research it appears there was a time when the Sunday night line-up went like this:
- Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau
- Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom
- The Wonderful World of Disney
- Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau
- Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom
- The Wonderful World of Disney
Thats what I remember. I also remember my dad commenting that on the Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau, everything happened always happened suddenly as in suddenly there was a shark, a storm, a jelly fish. LOL.
Also every time the going got rough, Marlin Perkins sat in the Jeep and would send poor Jim Fowler out to deal with the wild animal. LOL.
It was still much better TV than what we have now.
Nowadays, you can't even find a lineup like this on any of the history, science, or nature channels. :o(
