Police: Zimmerman says Trayvon decked him with one blow then began hammering his head
Orlando Sentinel ^ | March 26, 2012 | Rene Stutzman

With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities have revealed to the Orlando Sentinel.

That is the account Zimmerman gave police, and much of it has been corroborated by witnesses, authorities say.

Zimmerman has not spoken publicly about what happened, but that night, Feb. 26, and in later meetings he described and re-enacted for police what he says happened.

In his version of events, he had turned around and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from behind, the two exchanged words then Trayvon punched him in the nose, sending him to the ground, and began beating him.

"Is a matter of policy is the same as a violation of protocols?

It is not a "law" but it is 100% clear: patrol members are not carry weapons, have no police power, and should not attempt to apprehend a person committing a crime or to investigate a suspicious activity."

Well it is just that - protocol, there is no force of law behind the stated protocol no matter how clearly it is stated. I take that as more or less a policy the watch group takes out to attempt to protect themselves from being sued in an event such as this.

"Not following the guidelines can result in serious consequences: each member is liable as an individual for civil and criminal charges should he exceed his authority."

Anytime someone uses a gun against another human they are almost always personally liable for civil and criminal charges so this part of the policy is IMHO, just restating what should be obvious to anyone who carries a weapon.

I googled “magistrate judge george zimmerman” and got 373,000 results. His dad is Robert J Zimmerman, a former Orange County magistrate judge. Can you say “good ol’ boys club”?

Here’s one source, you’ll have to look up the rest yourself.

Did he really intend to head back to the street? I find this part of the audio interesting ...

19:13:12

Dispatcher: Okay do you want to just meet with them right near the mailboxes then?

19:13:16

Zimmerman: Yeah that’s fine. [more faint slapping/flapping noises]

19:13:20

Dispatcher: Alright George, I’ll let them know to meet you [unintelligible] there okay?

19:13:21

Zimmerman: Actually could you…could you have them call me and I’ll tell them where I’m at?

When Zimmerman got out of his SUV Trayvon ran off into the darkness. He told the 911 operator he was heading back to his vehicle and then ended the call.

Trayvon was running before Zimmerman got out of his SUV. He never told the 911 operator that he was heading back to his vehicle. He said the responding officers should call him and he'd let them know where he was.

It's worth repeating:

This site has become smear Trayvon central.

“Zimmerman sat on Trayvon’s dead body until the cops got there. There’s video of that but never mind”

Floriduh spelling is odd. do you have a problem with the Florida election 2000, perhaps?

You have the video? Your neighbor have it? You seen it, or did you hear about it, somewhere?

"This site has become smear Trayvon central."

Funny, not too long ago (and here recently) it's been smear George Zimmerman central.

Facts have a funny way of turning people's opinions around to the truth.

I’ve ‘liked’ Justice for Trayvon. I have several FR friends on FB and love Words with Friends.

I’ve read that Robert J. Zimmerman was a both a retired Virginia Supreme Court Magistrate Judge and an Orange County Magistrate Judge. Is it one or the other ... or both?

Justice for Trayvon isn't trying to create a ruckous. Meanwhile, a news blurb that the lead investigator wanted to charge Zimmerman with manslaughter but higher ups nixed the idea.

I haven’t ckd on Orange County but seems to me there’s an Orange County in California too. I only verified he was a Magistrate in Manassas, Virginia.

I was on the front lines when all the recounts were going on to help Al Gore steal the White House. I'm floriduh voter to represent the Floridians who were unable to understand the butterfly ballot and believed they voted for Patrick Buchanan instead of Al Gore. My liberal boss was on the other side and therefore, we faxed Gore's recount attorney on issues.

My neighbor has been working at her employment and I am telling her what I've been seeing on the internet. The video is on facebook linked to Justice for Trayvon. It may be on you tube for all I know. Try you tube. Put in Trayvon or try Zimmerman. If it's not there, get back to me and I'll look around.

Robert J. Zimmerman practices law in Florida but Fla Bar membership can be verified at the Florida Bar web site. They have also put a Dr. in front of his name on occasion. I wonder what kind of doctorate Zimmerman’s dad has or if he’s a Juris Doctor.

If George Zimmerman’s dad, an attorney, is friends with the Sanford DA, that could be a conflict of interest for the DA and especially if he refused to charge Zimmerman due to his conflict of interest with George Zimmerman’s dad. DAs and judges are supposed to recuse themselves from matters in which they know the parties; criminal and civil matters. We shall see. Again, the media isn’t digging very deep.

Sure.

http://www.examiner.com/charleston-conservative-in-charleston-sc/trayvon-martin-s-ten-day-suspension#ixzz1qCOnYuC9

“A twitter message, allegedly sent by Trayvon’s older brother, suggests Trayvon was suspended for assaulting a bus driver.”

“WAGIST.com says that Stephen Martin tweeted a message to Trayvon on February 21st that read ‘yu ain’t tell me yu swung on a bus driver.’ Based on screen captures provided by WAGIST.com, the message appears to be authentic.”

Interesting questions in this video that Craig Sonner, George Zimmerman's attorney, did not answer ... because he backed out of the interview at the last minute. The host asked the questions to an empty chair.
