With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities have revealed to the Orlando Sentinel.
That is the account Zimmerman gave police, and much of it has been corroborated by witnesses, authorities say.
Zimmerman has not spoken publicly about what happened, but that night, Feb. 26, and in later meetings he described and re-enacted for police what he says happened.
In his version of events, he had turned around and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from behind, the two exchanged words then Trayvon punched him in the nose, sending him to the ground, and began beating him.

For instance, just up thread a poster claimed Wagist has retracted the Trayvon-swung-at-a-bus-driver tweet story. No, they haven’t. Wagist has backed off the *tone* of some of their prior stories, but they stand by all their facts. Fwiw.
Poor attempt at dodging the issue; I purposely identified activities having NOTHING to do with the HOA that they have NO jurisdiction over!

Thanks Fantasy, saved me from wasting time dealing with Anglian. BTW, did you see where he changed his NO_LIMIT_NIGGA twitter account in Dec 2011. Details on his new account made the news today and included one tweet that him advising someone to shoot someone else for lying? I’m a liberal (or progressive, if you prefer the term). I’ve always had mixed feelings about gun ownership.
So I spent the next few days thinking about the state of nation, and imaging what America is going to look like in a few years. If Obama stays in power without a liberal Congress, things will be much the same for years to come: political gridlock and slowly worsening conditions for the middle class.
If the Republicans take back the executive branch, then political gridlock is the best we can hope for. If they’re able to get traction with their radical fiscal policies, they’ll keep feeding our money to corporations, banks and the ultra-wealthy. The middle class will shrink. More of us will fall into poverty, and with fewer people buying any products, even the large corporations will start to buckle and fail.
To be fair, most folks were just there to talk about guns, and play with guns, and buy new gadgets to affix to their guns. Their comfort and knowledge of firearms made me feel nervous. I was in store full of 50+ people who didn’t feel at all shy about expressing their distain for liberals and “socialists”. All of them, I’m convinced, would have had no trouble gunning me down in an honest firefight.
I went into that store to buy a gun to protect my family in the event of a riot. I walked out feeling very nervous that if their actually was major social upheaval in the United States, a lot of angry conservatives would have no problem forming an organized militia, and they wouldn’t have a whole lot of sympathy for the scores of unarmed “socialist” progressives out there.

I’m not a troll. Thank God there’s a DA in charge. I read the news and it has nothing to do with math. When can we stop- with the silliness? Poor George Zimmerman had no marks on his, no swelling, no blood. Sure, I believe George Zimmerman and his family. They are molesting the truth. Just cuz someone isn’t a racist, doesn’t make them a troll.
What on earth is that screed supposed to prove? I’m serious; why did you post it? Are you now shilling the liberal POV on guns? It’s more than a little odd when ‘conservatives’ post leftist cant w’out comment, critical or otherwise. It looks like they’re giving free publicity to the other side. Or if not, what am I missing?

Do you have access to the medical report? All these inferences from a blurry video boggle my mind. Trayvon’s mother described these far-from-dispositive-images as “icing on the cake”. What kind of mother talks like that? Icing on the cake is a ‘bonus’, ‘gravy’, some little added extra to an already great prize:
“The job promotion was fabulous, but the new sports car was the icing on the cake”. [I got this illustration online; I didn’t make it up.]
Yes, the Mom is having an ‘icing on the cake’ day over the blurry video, but I wonder if you have anything less subjective to go by?

Sounds to me as if Trayvon was in trouble. Each of his lengthier suspensions was for a more serious offense. The rap lyrics he chose to post gloried raw hate and violence. And what about the backback loaded w jewelry and a ‘flat head’ screwdriver for which he wasn’t even investigated? His parents’ reaction to that news is very disturbing. When your child is drifting into trouble, you can react at least one of two ways. (1) acknowledge the problem and potential risks and do something about it. (2) deny, deny deny.
It appears they chose (2). Very sad.

Are you really this crazy? The tweets are the tweets. If you don’t like the content of the tweets, okay; I get that. But trying to discredit the actual tweets/info/evidence itself based on who dug them up is insane. Really, really lunatic stuff. I wouldn’t expect to see it on this site, but there’s a first time for everything I guess.
Oh and btw, when you are going to apologize for saying Wagist misidentified the sender of the tweets? That was a raw, naked falsehood. You need to own up to it, so as to salvage any tattered credibility you still possess.
Excellent point. On top of which, I saw a still shot yesterday in which it appeared that Zimmerman had a horrible gash on the back of his scalp. If I were merely biased, I’d call that proof of his story. I’m willing to wait for the medical report, however. I’m more interested in the facts that in shilling for either side...which is far, far more than I can say for the majority of Trayvon’s defenders.
HIs brother told Piers Morgan last night that he lied “more than his brother George.” I don’t trust any of George Z’s fmaily members and that is my opinion.

I haven’t ever been there but I bet this interview is there or, they will probably replay it Saturday or Sunday night. He said he lied more ethan George or words to that effect. Then his brother’s expression went “ruh roh”.
