It's one of those things that most people just wrote off and forgot about as something stupid coming from the militant blacks.
As recently as last summer, a black guy I give a ride to sometimes pointed it out to me. Said he was part of that BS of wearing the hood as a way of showing he hated whites when he was younger.
So it's still around.
