I would have given Obama points for making the call that got Bin Laden.

LOL! I hope you are joking. Do you really think he had squat to do with that? By the time he got off the golf course and into the room the fat lady was singing.
Nonsense. Even granting that the policies he used to get Bin Laden were policies that Bush set up and he campaigned against, he still saw it through and made the call when he had the chance, something a certain predecessor of his failed to do.
And if you want to try to win over the Independents and undecideds with that argument, go for it.
