Thanks. I usually buy it in bulk bins because it’s much cheaper and I don’t recall any ingredients in it other than “cocoa”. I don’t eat any food with odd ingredients; actually we cook everything from scratch, mostly organic.

What explains the effect? Even though chocolate can be loaded with calories, it's full of antioxidants and other ingredients that may promote weight loss, the researchers said.

In other words, "chocolate is good for you."

Yes, the right chocolate can be good for you. Since this article is about weight loss and chocolate I want to point out a study which was just published in the current "American Journal of Bariatric Medicine". First of all, Bariatric Physicians are the MD's who specialize in weight loss. The featured study about weight loss and chocolate is on the front cover of their journal. It is entitled "Weight Loss Study Using a High Antioxidant Cocoa Meal Replacement and Lifestyle Intervention".

It was 50 individuals in a 12 week study who all finished and the average weight loss was 31.4 lbs. and an average decrease in waist circumference of 5.8 inches.

Not one person dropped out of the study and none experienced hunger.

A host of wellness factors including glucose management and others had amazing results. Not to mention patient compliance was very high.

It is suggested this study may change the weight loss industry so please stat tuned.

So yes, "Chocolate can be good for you."
