Don’t bet the farm on it just so you can play MegaMillions.

As Rush said yesterday, be wary of the justices’ words and their possible actions.

They will be striking down the most major accomplishment of Obama’s presidency, if they do.

I would be leary of thinking they would subject the first black president to such a humiliation. They will find some way to salvage a major part of the bill.

You’ve been listening to them too much.

That be WASIST!

Besides, there is little the SCOTUS can do to 'humiliate' Bill Clinton.

(wait, what? you DID say "the first black president" didn't you?)

To Hell with 0bama, let the little Kenyan sonuvabitch be humiliated.

The bill had no legitimate purpose; it needs to be chucked.

Congress should set out to educate the people that they do not need doctors, nor hospitals nor insurance; all that is needed is a Real Food Diet to be healthy.

I doubt they will humiliate the Court in order to save hussein his well deserved humiliation.

We have to remember this is no ordinary administration. They have shown they are extremely adept at screwing the pooch at every turn. It's entirely possible the Court will find no way to save them from themselves.

I agree that that would be the perception, but this Law was cobbled together by Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid with very little input from Obama.

But... But.... I thought "Lady Justice" was blind? Especially to color? Surely the Supremes will be well within their rights of claiming such, anyway.

Just think of it. Obama's only claim to competence is his law school specialization in Constitutional Law, yet the law he identifies his legacy upon is being struck down for being unconstitutional.

Sort of leaves a professional black eye.

Agreeing, Justice Anthony Kennedy said it would be an "extreme proposition" to allow the various insurance regulations to stand after the mandate was struck down.

This assumes that Kennedy will vote to strike the mandate. The SCOTUS has disappointed me before.

“I would be leary of thinking they would subject the first black president to such a humiliation. They will find some way to salvage a major part of the bill.”

IF they do, they are in uncharted waters, in terms of how to interpret Congressional intent.

Kennedy’s comment was that the bill was intended to work as a whole. This is what gives credence to the thought that they may chuck the whole bill. You have either to just toss out the mandate and leave the rest, OR chuck out the whole thing.

Dragging out the parts that are tied up with the mandate and picking and choosing? That’s not following the law.

Simpler to toss the whole thing and have congress start over from clean sheet. then you are not guessing Congressional intent.

The very fact that this is even happening is proof of how far the country has slid down the slope toward oblivion. Hillary Clinton could not even get this diabolical plan out of committee but sixteen years later it was passed over the objections of the people.

I wonder how many of the SILLY left wingers who think Obama is the messiah realize that this is basically the same garbage the Clintons tried to pass and Hillary got it from RICHARD NIXON who resigned before he ever tried to pass it. That’s right, it originated with a Republican president who had fantasies of being a dictator. The man who installed wage and price controls when real inflation was much, much lower than today.
