On top of hearing this, I came across this today....."The time to pray for Israel is right now. I have no idea if this is true about Friday. So is the reason for this waiver - something to do with the Palestinians?
Essentially. The State dept doesn’t recognize any part of Jerusalem as part of Israel. Note the Embassy site which was purchased in the 90s, is in “West” Jerusalem, and has been part of Israel since it’s founding. So far three Presidents are afraid to cross State, we’ll see about the fourth.
