“white privilege”

******

Second time I’ve read this phrase in the past few years...first time came after reading responses to “The Help”. Deserves a thread of its own, really. I am convinced that it’s “black privilege” that has created the racial divides but few blacks will ever admit that they are part of the problem, no matter their education, financial status nor societal standing.

Those who clearly see this are afraid to speak out....much like those in the Muslim world. Their own people will turn on them. Thus there is the black on black crime which includes this.

I work with a well educated and intelligent black woman....but she consistently looks for "fairness" issues within the workplace....as if wired to complain. She has her radar up 24/7. Now you can reason with her and she then backs down once you explain to her the reality of situations...then she sees that her "issues" get in the way of seeing situations as they are.

A a woman married to a black man expressed when the two of them are together they're treated very differently then when she is alone. She believes it's because of racism...... Trying to explain to her that it might not be because her husband is black but because some people question greatly what is she doing with a black man..and it is she that's the issue..not him.
