An 80-year-old Army veteran was arrested after he shot a burglar who had broken into his Chicago-area home.
Police have charged Homer Wright with one felony count of unlawful gun use. They charged the man who broke into Wright’s home, 19-year-old Anthony Robinson with felony burglary.

The law is an ass, as Mr. Bumble said. It is time for people to demand that one’s home is sacred and that anybody, breaking in should be shot or stopped with deadly force no matter what the reason. This is absurd. Libs have ruined freedom and protection for the victims and given the bums more rights. And oh yes, this was another black punk. Invading an 80 yr. old black hero.Where is the ACLU for the man . I am sick of the criminal class, which nowadays is far more minority than anybody else being protected by PC rules. I want to see conserv lawyers, law groups demanding changes in these so called deadly force cases. Mr Wright is correct. But self-defense is still illegal in Chicago.
Blacks who vote support Dems by 95% but most blacks don’t bother to vote. So it is more than likely this guy didn’t vote for Obama. Not saying he wouldn’t, just he didn’t.
Also, since he can’t own a gun, he must be a felon, and felons can’t vote.
Won't be a jury. The government and their agents will threaten him with 30 years in a government prison, and will convince him to plead guilty to avoid even more punitive punishment, for his own good, or else!
