Did I forget to mention that after WWII the UK politicians decided to turn the UK into a modern welfare state?
Whether you look at importing Muzzies and creating a welfare state then or now it is just pure insanity.
And the UK is leading the West into this suicidal path of civilizational destruction. At the rate the things are going in the UK the Muzzies will be running the show within two generations.
Will the commoner Brits, Welsh, or Scotts be able to turn it around? I hope so.
To be fair to 1945-51 Labour, what they tried to create was famously called a ‘new jerusalem’ for the British troops coming home: new housing, the NHS, better standard of living all round. Much of it admirable, even necessary.
Attlee et al never would have argued for or wanted the indolent, work dodging, sexually loose, violent underclass that the UK has today. Nor the idiotic ultra-PC policies of Labour govts (esp 1964-70, 74-79, and 1997-2010) that have allowed such a state of affairs. The older Labour of the first half of the century actually valued work, family, morality etc.
At worst, I think the postwar Labour policies may be seen as misguided, flawed with the best of intentions, but I wouldnt blame them for what happened twenty years later, or now.
