That won’t save them.
The budget isn’t going to improve because the tax base is gone.
I lived in LA county too long. They will find a way to raise a tax somewhere. Like in the sales tax(where they raised the rates several times since 1991),utilities and pay more for using public transportation.People will complain for a little while but then forget.
It’s what I keep telling people...No more money...They shot the wad, and it’ll be neat to see the thousands of unionized government employees pointing fingers and attaching each others.
Ya got to love it.
Tu vale madre!
That I agree with. The are all moving away.
No one buys that anymore, since most that live in that town can hardly afford to fuel their vehicles now or pay their rent/mortgages...Taxed to death, tax revenues way down...
They've held off a long time, but the day of reckoning is coming fast.
The LA City Council has to agree with him. I do not think he has the votes. That is where the real power is in Los Angeles.
Here comes the collapse. This is the start of massive layoffs of government jobs. City and county budgets are very strained. The layoffs can’t be avoided.
Its what I keep telling people...No more money...They shot the wad, and itll be neat to see the thousands of unionized government employees pointing fingers and attacking each others.
You bet, this isn't the 1990s...Those days are long gone.
Hover around $4.00 per gallon?! It would be nice if they were down to $4.00 per gallon. I just paid $4.57 a gallon (mid grade).
No, the real power in LA, and across this country is what money government confiscates from the people. In LA, they're broke, as most other large cities in every state are.
In LA, 15 city council members from the San Fernando Valley to San Pedro control things.
Are you from LA?
Schadenfreude.
And I grew up out there.
Best time in my life was back in 91’ when I got transferred to Colorado.
You know what a simple fix it ticket is? Most towns are now started to charge $25. just to get the ticket signed off, and the court of jurisdiction is getting another $25. for processing fees. A fix it ticket was free just a few years ago, as ya just got it signed off and sent in the proof of correction.
LOL!
And this won't save their sorry asses either, it'll just piss off the broke and bankrupt people, even more.
I saw Shep Smith today on Fox say how the gas went down today and was excited to say that by the summer it will be $3.50 like it was awesome and so low. How about it goes down to $1.89 like it was in Jan 2009.
You did not answer my question. Are you from Los Angeles?
I never give out private info on the net.
Thanks.
Then you are not.
