Sure, I've heard the name, but still had to look him up to see the specifics. He's certainly accomplished.

Why not Kempthorne? He's won at every level and looks like a real conservative.

I posted years ago that the GOP should be looking at Lt. Gov’s, state AG’s, various state Senate and House leaders, etc. for POTUS/VPOTUS candidates. Like I said earlier, I proposed a Paul Ryan-Greg Abbott ticket ~3 years ago. That ticket would kick serious ass IMO.

Two of the last three republican presidents (Ronald Reagan & George W. Bush) were governors. I hoped that our next president would be someone who has been a governor and has also held a higher office. Four of the last five GOP VP’s were U.S. reps. those four were Dick Cheney, Dan Quayle, George H.W. Bush, and Gerald Ford. The exception is Nelson Rockefeller.
