Not-So-Smooth Operator
The Wall Street Journal ^ | March 29, 2012 | Peggy Noonan

Not-So-Smooth Operator
Obama increasingly comes across as devious and dishonest.

Something's happening to President Obama's relationship with those who are inclined not to like his policies. They are now inclined not to like him. His supporters would say, "Nothing new there," but actually I think there is. I'm referring to the broad, stable, nonradical, non-birther right. Among them the level of dislike for the president has ratcheted up sharply the past few months.

It's not due to the election, and it's not because the Republican candidates are so compelling and making such brilliant cases against him. That, actually, isn't happening.

What is happening is that the president is coming across more and more as a trimmer, as an operator who's not operating in good faith. This is hardening positions and leading to increased political bitterness. And it's his fault, too. As an increase in polarization is a bad thing, it's a big fault.

Noonan absolutely nails it. This is something I have been noticing over the last few weeks. Obama is increasingly, and obviously, being seen as utterly incompetent, a failed President. If the SCOTUS completely takes down ObamaCare, and even more so, it will stamp a gigantic "L" on Obama's forehead. I don't see how blaming the conservatives on the court will play beyond the hard left. Americans do not reelect losers.

I’ve gone from disliking him to loathing even hearing his name.

This guy has somehow married “incompetent and smarmy” into a whole new art form.

Really, he cannot win the coming election. But the Republicans, still, can lose it.

The Stupid & Spineless Party is well on their way to losing to a president who is an epic fail.

But Noonan doesn’t completely nail it. He doesn’t see that Obama’s communist agenda must be attained ABOVE ALL ELSE! Then the relationship with the other politicians and American people is much clearer.

The senior Obama died in a 1982 car crash. Kenyan government officials in those days normally spent their nights drinking themselves stupid at the Pan-Afrique Hotel. Two or three of them would be found with their Mercedes wrapped around a palm tree every morning. During the 1970s I came to know a number of them, mostly British-educated hollow men dying inside of their own hypocrisy and corruption.

“Loating hearing his name” and I cannot stand to hear even his VOICE. Turns my stomach.

I suppose things are bad enough that people are starting to think about politics.
Usually, they don’t until the weekend before the election

This president is, and has been, grossly incompetent.
He brought nothing to the table in terms of real experience, never a mayor of a city, never a governor of a state, two years as a US senator in which he spent most of that time running for the next highest office. It was abundantly clear to anyone paying attention, those that get their input from multiple sources other than the liberal MSM, that he was in over his head from practically day one. Hopefully this narcissistic buffoon will be gone come November.

Hmmm...in 2008 Noonan was orgasming 24 x 7 over her fresh-faced savior, B.H. Obama. Lately, she's trying to get in tune with the direction of the winds. The WSJ should have booted her years ago.

F**k you Peggy Noonan. You are a traitor and personally, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

I wonder if ole Bowel Movement Powell will change his mind too? Nah...it's a skin pigmentation thing.

Pretty sure Noonan voted Obama in ‘08. She’s learning what the rest of us knew in ‘08.

Hey Peggy, how can someone who considers themselves as brilliant as you do, and is so darn self satisfied, be taken in by this fraud? Maybe you aren’t as smart as you think you are?

Since before he was elected I've had to turn the channel. He makes me sick to my stomach.

She was practically table dancing on MSNBC Morning Joe when ever she heard his name mentioned. It was a contest between her and Mika to see who would get a case of the vapors first at the sight of him.

I agree with you. FU PN.

So what's your point, Peggy, that the "broad, stable, nonradical, non-birther right" is finally catching on?

As opposed to the narrow, unstable, radical, birther right who actually saw this lying creep for what he truly is three years ago? You're a bitch Noonan. No other word for it.
