The lottery is a ticket to dream. Thats all it is. But its still a better retirement plan that Social Security.
I spent $50 and got $17, can’t really complain.
I spent 0 and got back 0!
I spent $10 and won $3.

Most end up miserable and having more problems then they had before.
“...640 people win $1 milion each?”
I think that’s a good idea, but how would you pick the winners?

The probability odds are always 1 in 176,000,000. The number of ticket buyers has no affect on that statistic; because it is based on the constant 5 +1 random selection of numbers 1 through 59. It’s a static probability.
The increased ‘pot’ is based on the infusion of new ticket purchases.
CHICAGO (AP) Lottery ticket-holders in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland each selected the winning numbers and will split a $640 million jackpot that was believed to be the world’s largest such prize, a lottery official said Saturday.
Mike Lang, spokesman for the Illinois Lottery, said his state’s winning ticket was sold in the small town of Red Bud, near St. Louis. The winner used a quick pick to select the numbers, he said.
The Maryland Lottery announced earlier Saturday that it had sold a winning ticket at a retail store in Baltimore County. No details were immediately available about the Kansas ticket.
Unemployment will end, a quick fix would only bring more problems.
