I agree with you.

Even though I don't agree with some of what the elder Bushes say/do, the general hatred toward GOP leadership does get vile at times.

And I am very greatful to the Bushes as wartime Presidents. They fought hard to keep us safe and that doesn't deserve the vitriol they get from both left and right.

For all the non FReepers who lurk these threads, one has to feel a sense of embarrassment. I have seen 4th grade playground fights, that show more maturity and dignified behavior than is regularly displayed on some of these threads.

George HW Bush is a war hero and a very great American, who risked his life for his country and served his country up until he retired. He truly deserves far more respect than what he is getting here.

And, thank you for acknowledging that.
