Sounds more like they are just obeying their marching orders from the establishment to help Mitt Romney.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramesh_Ponnuru ~ no updates in 7 years?

He's voicing a complaint of so many "new Conservatives" (E.g. Catholics who've come over from decades of voting straight line Democrat) that they don't think Protestants (Lots of 'em are Conservatives eh) should find out they, Catholics, officially reject contraception.

Sorry, that argument is SO IGNANT. Conservatives and Republicans know all about the contraception thing and simply ignore it.

Conservatism does not require strict adherence to the party line such as that's done in the Democrat party! It truly is a "Big Tent" but one without Socialists, Commies, Fascists ~ their running dog lackeys, and you can't be a Christian and believe in abortion anyway.

Conservative orthodoxy draws a line at Romney and his supporters.

Romney has done nothing but shove conservatives aside and insult us as he wins in Obama strongholds he can’t possibly win in November.

Add the fact that his campaign has already signaled their intent to move to the ..ahem... “center”, and Obama couldn’t hope for a better opponent.
