Are the beatings of the homeless man and the 50 year-old victim two separate cases?

yes. The 50 year old man was pulled from his vehicle just in the last week or so, and beaten almost to death. He apparently will not live.

The homeless situation happened 3 yrs ago or so.

Yes, Homeless man was black beaten by white son of police LT. No charges filed but there was a video of the actual incident. Until pressure was put on LEO thru media no arrest. Zimmerman helped: attended meetings, pass out fliers at the black churches etc. to get community organized. One of the articles last night said that the same officer was in charge of that case that is in charge of the Martin/Zimmerman case. Someone somewhere are connecting the wrong dots.

They don't know his support of the community or that Zimmerman has many AA friends (one article also said family member) He tutors both AA and Hispanic male youth. He was involved in trying to make a difference. He was involved in his community, not just as Captain of Neighborhood Watch.
