The republican party is half past dead and if we don’t get a blood transfusion ASAP, it’s over. romney will never beat oscumma in a million years. This is sickening.

By virtue of these Romney wins (and probable eventual Republican nomination), the GOP is giving Obama his second term on a silver platter. Everyone I talk to sees it the same way. Romney is NOT anyone's first choice and people are disillusioned with the apparent John McCaining of conservatives for the second time in a row. This is republican party suicide and everyone can see it except the elites who are forcing this candidate down our throats. May God help America out of this potential disaster.

Not a surprise.

In further Maryland humiliation, Our Governor, Lil’Marty, showed up today on The Ed Show, trashing the Ryan budget.

He thinks he is the white Obama - complete with the arrogance.

As I have said before on this forum, I will not vote for that RINO sonofabitch in the general election!

But, but, but not voting for Mitt is like voting for Obama. How many times have you heard that?

P.S.

(I'm not voting for the "RINO sonofabitch" either)

It appears like the electorate is starting to take a stand and make a solid choice to defeat Obama. They almost unanimously said that it is now more important to get behind a candidate soon, and to not delay or hinder the nomination.

Why do I get the feeling that's what you wanted all along. So what's your real name, Rove?

I voted for Newt also.

I don’t trust Romney and I despise Santorum.

The primary system needs a dramatic overhaul, but I believe we are out of time.

I am sure you will love all the wonderful things another 4 years of Obama will bring to your Christian faith. What ever the reason, it must not mean enough to you to fight for, since you would risk handing an easy win to Obama. If that happens don't bother making plans for 2016, there will be nothing left by then, especially in regards to Christianity.

Maryland has a closed primary. So, the “against Obama” vote would be for who? I was unaware that Obama faces any kind of competition here.

D.C. has less relavence to the Republicans than American Samoa and should get about as many delegates.

Trivia question: Barry Goldwater actually managed to get 14.5% of the DC vote in 1964. Who was the last Republican presidential candidate to exceed this total? Who was the last to crack 10%?

Get ready for him and Andrew Cuomo to duke it out in 2016. That is, if Obama hasn’t declared himself a dictator by then.

I don’t give a damn what you think. The problem with your side is, you were warned that supporting Santorum would guarantee a Romney win. Well, guess what?..............We all lose.

Obama - Romney: there is little to no difference in the evil they will do. Thankfully, if McRomney needs my vote here in Tennessee, he has already lost. I will just have to vote in the House and Senate and hope they can check Obama, as they would not oppose a president of the same party.

As a social conservative, I won’t vote for Obama or Romney in November. If Rick (or Newt) doesn’t win the nomination, I will be looking at third party this year

Ditto!

It’s high time for a third party, but the GOP talking heads in the news media will do their darndest to keep party-line Republicans in line with their usual talking points and scare tactics.

“Let’s change the GOP from within!”

Riiight. It’s not like the establishment holds the reins of power or anything.

“But a third party will never win!”

Romney will never win, either, but we’re supposed to vote for him.

“But a third party will split the vote!”

Good! It’s time for the Republicans to go the way of the Whigs. What did caving to the establishment get us in ‘08? What did it get us in ‘12? Will 2016 be any different?

IN, NC, WV are all on May 8th. If Rick could take his home state it might be worth it to hang in til the 8th. Could recapture momentum.

The big secret is that it’s not really over and Romney’s not yet the nominee.

I guess it's a protest. Anyone But Obama? Perhaps 10% of the democrats in Maryland are actually awake and not mindless party followers.

Then it is time for Romney to get out of the race. He can’t win.

"I decided not to hold my nose this election cycle. Win or lose, I believe that my donations to Rick have been well worth it to get his message out if only for a little while longer.

As a social conservative, I won’t vote for Obama or Romney in November. If Rick (or Newt) doesn’t win the nomination, I will be looking at third party this year, and Santorum 2016 (or Pence 2016; or whatever good conservative runs 2016)."

I've been wanting to ask this, and waiting for such a straightforward genial and non-acerbic show of support for Santorum such as yours...what if, at the GOP convention, Santorum comes out and endorses Mittens again? Much in the way of what he told Laura Ingraham in 2008? Would that change your mind about November?

"Santorum told Ingraham that Romney is "a guy who has gone through that pressure cooker, who has developed a passion, who understands why he's a conservative and understands the issues, how they weave together."

Santorum added that conservatives are "about traditional values and a traditional way of American life" and that Mitt Romney "understands that, it's not just in his head anymore, it's in his heart."

This year Santorum, a presidential candidate and Romney rival, has said his 2008 endorsement was motivated more by politics than conservative beliefs.

"I made, I hate to say it, a calculated political decision that Romney was the stronger horse and had a better chance to win Super Tuesday with the resources he had," Santorum said. "I like him. The time I spent with him, he was a gentleman. He's very sincere."
