WASHINGTON (AP) Republican Newt Gingrich says he isnt leaving the partys presidential race and is vowing to continue all the way to the nominating convention.
Very well said.
I really think that some conservatives fell in love with a candidate without a hope of winning, when that candidate dropped out, they had a temper tantrum and refused to back anyone else. I still think that’s happening today.
GOOD FOR NEWT and God Bless him!
If this scenario does not pan out and romney does become out nominee this country is sooooooooooooooooooooooo screwed. We as a country may not be able to recover from obomba's first term. We certainly won't survive a second obomba term.
There is a reason our founding fathers put the natural born citizenship stipulation into our constitution but for some reason the powers that be don't have the testicles to enforce it.
If we can't use the Constitution and the law to remove the Manchurian candidate (obomba) from office then Newt is the next best thing.
Newt loves this country. He’s in it just for that reason — not for ego, money, or much else.
He will continue to do what he does best: speak out, shape the debate, make Obama look like a fool, and strengthen our win in November. He is shaping public opinion.
I think people like him, like Palin also, are great. They are deemed “unacceptable” by the wicked Establishment ...yet they just keep right on hanging in there, saying what they have to say ...because it’s the RIGHT THING TO do!!
It’s funny, but I can always “hear” Newt’s take on things in the media ...I never “hear” what Romney has to say absout anything. He just doesn’t seem to speak out much, or he doesn’t know how to use the media to his advantage, as does Newt. Newt is by far the better communicator.
I think it’s important that supporters of Newt continue to donate to his campaign, even though it looks like right now it’s floundering. I want him to stay in this thing to the end. If he wins the nomination, I will consider it a heaven-sent thing. If he doesn’t, I still think staying in gave him a good platform to get his messages out and hopefully affect future policy should a not-Zero win the election.
Republican Candidates could improve their Primary vote count by campaigning with the following idea:
Due to the FHA, Fannie and Freddie Bankruptcies of September, 2008, American home owners lost 30 % of the value of their homes. That is a 30 % cut in just one month. Home values are still down 30 %.
Thus, let us cut the total compensation to all elected Federal politicians, and their staffs by 30 %, and an additional 10 % cut to elected Federal politicians each year until Federal Spending is LESS THAN the average of the previous 2 years of Federal income.
BTW, since slightly less than half of the US House, and 2/3 of the US Senate are Millionaires, it will be a great opportunity for Congress to lead by example that EVERYONE should give up their fair share of the American Dream.
What better way can there be to demonstrate that Federal politicians are on the same page as the voters?
Then it’s official. Newt gives Romney the nomination. Speaker Ego decides that if he can’t win, no conservative should win. What a hero!
Id vote for Santorum if I had to.
No way could I vote for Mitt.
Is Newt working with Rubio on the Dream act?
If you’re honest and can recognize reality you would’ve seen that Romney was going to be the nominee months ago. Its just how it is no matter who you may have supported more.
Time to get over it and either find something to like about Mitt and get behind his nomination or just vote for him as a total anti-Obama vote.
Turn the focus to Obama and democrats, where it should’ve been months ago and every single day from now on.
At this point, his campaign is more or less a series of unannounced speeches inside various Starbucks that he drives to in a Zip Car.
I imagine the campaign can continue indefinitely at this rate.
I know him and he is about the country’s welfare. He details solutions—not slogans, like, “I Believe.”. Whoopee. I believe too. I believe America needs a really smart leader and one who has thought through policies that can preserve our Republic. Newt has been been assassinated by the media, the Dems and Romney’s millions and that should concern every American. Obama is smiling because he orchestrated the selection of the Republican Nominee. At least Newt is pulling Romney to the right. Just pray he stays there.
I don't hear that very often! ;-)
Yep, it will be better than nothing. And maybe, just maybe, he gets a secretary position out of it.
I missed her show yesterday.
Dignity and grace to you means helping the LIARS?
He already did help AMERICA by running. Republicans proved they are just as dumb as liberals. They don’t want him, they don’t want AMERICA restored. As simple as that.
