The city wants the range shut down. The State of Texas passes a law saying the city cannot shut down ranges. The City created golf course sues the range, when someone is hit by a stray bullet of unknown provenance two miles from the range.

Looked down at my shirt and I saw smoke coming out That is a LIE. There would be no smoke after two miles.
This guy got some quack doctor to lie for him, is my belief.

Shut down the Golf course. The Range was there, first.

That’s a tough course. I have a hard enough time shooting par without having to dodge bullets

Attorneys for A Place to Shoot said there is no evidence the bullet came from the shooting range. Two miles is a very long way. When I saw the headlines, I assumed that they were next door.
No way that a bullet could travel that far, unless the shooter deliberately fired it at a high angle, rather than anywhere near the targets.
It should be easy enough to check out. Does the rifling on the bullet match any of the guns in use on that day? I strongly doubt it. More likely some drunken illegal or drive-by gang banger was celebrating the coming of spring by firing his weapon at random.

The city wants the range shut down. The State of Texas passes a law saying the city cannot shut down ranges. The City created golf course sues the range, when someone is hit by a stray bullet of unknown provenance two miles from the range. Which means the gun-grabbing City liberals actually shot someone - presumably intending to kill him - in order to get public outrage enough to shut down the range and attack the Texas law protecting them.
You know, it surprises me that there was a time in my life that I would think such a brutal, murderous, psychopathic political strategy couldn't be true.
Now it's just obvious.

There was a private gun range near my house, but they shut down a few years ago. They were just a mile from an Air Force family housing development. Never heard why they shut down but I assume some idiot launched some rounds over the berm, and put some holes in the housing. Lots of kids around the base housing areas.
We lose our rights because of a few idiots. Another place I shoot, the EPA is looking to shut it down, because of the shooters who bring junk up there, like old TV sets and washing machines, etc, to blast. Fine and dandy, but bring a garbage bag, and take your crap home with you. But they don't. The place looks like a garbage dump sometimes, and the forest rangers are stuck cleaning it up. The few slobs give the gubmint excuses to take our rights away.

Texas is a strong property rights state. Rifle Range needs to show it isn’t allowing firearms/ammo to be used which exceeds their range safety fans. Since their name implies a “Rifle Range” it would probably be prudent to show both 7.62 and 50cal rifles would be limited by the range safety fans.
It appears the golf course is just barely outside .38cal range but well within 5.56 and 7.62mm rifles ball ammo range.

What's more important, firearms proficiency or golf?
I've never understood why adults would engage in such a massive waste of time, money and resources. Really puzzles me.
