Rubio to Santorum, Gingrich, Paul: 'It's Time Now to Concede'
Tonwhall ^ | 4-5-12 | Kate Hicks

Marco Rubio, Mitt Romney's highest-profile endorsement, has a message for other GOP presidential (less)hopefuls: pack it in, boys. The primary's over.

Ouch.

As Tina Korbe reported over on Hot Air, the Florida Senator came out strongly for Romney's chances against Barack Obama, illustrating the kind of tenacity desired of a vice presidential nominee.

“I actually think we’re going to have a very good nominee. I think Mitt Romney’s going to be the next president of the United States. And by their own admission, the folks running against Mitt Romney have admitted that they cannot win the primary, that the only way they can win is a floor fight at the convention, which I think would set us back in terms of our goal of replacing Barack Obama.

“So I do believe it’s time now to concede that Mitt Romney has won the Republican nomination, that he’s going to be the Republican nominee, and that if we all get behind him he will be the next president of the United States.”

Well...he sounds vice presidential. Certainly more so than our current number two (sorry for the reminder. It's painful, I know). I could rally around a Romney nomination if he had a principled conservative like Rubio as his running mate. And could you *imagine* a Rubio-Biden debate?!

He may call you a Gentile but he’s not Jewish.

Duh. He's a neocon. So is McCain. So is Bill Bennett. So is .... what does ethnicity have to do with it?

“If Rubio were a Principled conservative he would publicly state that he, like the Usurper Obama, is not a Natural Born Citizen, and can not be considered for the President or VP position.”

Needs repeating.

And the absolute utter measure of the uselessness of the GOP is their failure to grasp that.

OR, maybe they DO...

The Democrats and their running dog lackeys use the term “Neocon” to mean a Jew who’s jumped the reservation.

You can't defend Goldwater more than I do but for a number of reasons he ended up as the Establishment Candidate and did not have the party base behind him.

Remember his wife was the heir to Borg Warner ~ and she brought that entire Kenosha to PIttsburgh industrial arc with her. He didn't want for money, but he just didn't attract the traditional Republican worker bees on the ground.

Romney's strength rests in the same places.

This time the big faction he loses is the Conservative wing.

Romney is the weakest possible candidate we could have because there is no "THERE" there!

Well said. The more these wimpy RINO’s and FORMER Tea Party folks like Rubio tell us we have to accept a “winner” who is nowhere near the required number of delegates to win, the more I vow to fight on even harder to the convention. No, I don’t want ObamaRomney in the White House. No I don’t want free abortions covered by health insurance I am forced to pay for.

There’s no reason for Santorum to drop out. Romney doesn’t have the delegates. The fear of the establishment is obvious. Since they know their guy is weak, they have to try bully the naturally strong competitors to quit. I will also be praying for Santorum this weekend.

Ain’t gonna happen!!! In the real world, both Santorum and Gingrich are toast!!! I’m not saying I like that, because I was a big supporter of Rick Santorum. But....once he starting putting his foot in his mouth, time after time, I saw his chances flushing down the toilet. And...his continuing falling numbers prove me right!!! Had he stayed on course, and...concentrated on defining, attacking and defeating Obama, he would have beat the pants off Mitt Romney. Too many sidebars, not needed, is what killed his chances, IMHO!!! Sad!!!

This is called “blaming the victim.” The “foot in mouth” media meme combined with the current Myth Meme (that it’s over, Romney is invincible) have little to do with reality and a lot to do with Romnoid strategy.

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. We’ll see what happens this time around. If Santorum does fall short, it won’t be because of his foot in his mouth but because of the meme of his foot in his mouth and the Romney-is-invincible meme. These Myths may well succeed. That you fall for them suggests that they will.

But, suit yourself. You’ve drunk the Romnaid.

Only time and primary elections will tell the story!!! I’ve been doing this predicting thing for many years and most politicians never really know when to fold ‘em, cause just about all of them live and breathe within an insulated bubble world, witness POTUS Obama and Joe Biden, two of the dumbest, tone deaf human beings alive. And.....sad to say there are hundreds more just like them in all political parties. That is why we need term limits for all politicians!!! Good luck, and.....I hope you will prove me, personally, dead wrong!!! Have a great Easter Holiday Weekend!!!

Damn it, it’s time for ROMNEY to concede!!!!

The man can’t get a majority of the vote!!!

I repeat — CANNOT GET A MAJORITY OF THE CONSERVATIVE vote!!

Turnout is ABYSMAL when this guy is on the ticket. It was pitiful in Virginia where he and his lackeys controlled the ticket entirely.

He “wins” lib states, which is a joke, because Obama will win those anyway.

He then proceeds to LOSE conservative states.

A recipe for disaster. I’d like to know who’s advising this guy??

I guess the same guys who advised McCain, and Dole.

Our GOP is going to ensure an Obama win. Seriously. Get ready for it. HIS turnout is going to be fantasmagorical!

The ONLY good thing i can see is perhaps THIS time, Romney will be OUT of the prsidential running for good. And perhaps stunned conservatives and GOP’rs will get their heads examined and figure out that running RINOS doesn’t work — for their OWN good, OR the good of the country.

And then we’re going to watch this ship sink like the Titanic.

P.S. Don’t forget the Paulbots — they are going to RUN, not walk, to vote for Obama.
