“I did not make up no story to get no attention.”

Sigh. There’s a member of Mensa right there.

The lottery authorities announced shortly after the Mega Millions drawing that one of the winning tickets was sold in Baltimore County. If this woman doesn’t have the ticket, then someone else in the Baltimore area has it.

I hope the person who actually won the ticket has a lawyer with them when they go to cash it in. I have a funny feeling Mirlande Wilson will attempt to claim it was stolen from her.

I believe she bought the ticket and has given it to someone she thinks she can trust so that that person will cash it for her.

Good luck. I also suspect that Maryland will look closely at whoever turns in the ticket to see if there is any connection with any McDonald's employee.

THAT, of course, was my first thought.
However, it's Easter Sunday and I thought I'd put away my fangs for a few hours. :o)

I do find it odd that as of just a few hours ago none of the three winning tickets have been redeemed.

How does an unmarried woman with 7 kids have time to work at McDonald’s?

Stupidity should be painful, and hopefully this woman is in a world of pain that she richly deserves. She has managed to alienate her friends, neighbors, and her co-workers who will never neither trust her, nor likely associate with her again.

If you should win a lottery, a smart person would quickly call a lawyer and form a corporation, legally managed and ran anonymously, if possible. The goal it to keep the winnings ‘secret’ as possible. That way, you don’t find people crawling out of the woodwork, demanding “loans”, “investment opportunties” and outright “gifts”. If something gets botched, they can sue the Corporation, not you. Then, you can proceed on to the other necessities, such as insuring yourself such that if you should die, your heirs have enough insurance coverage to pay the IRS the taxes on their inheritance - because the IRS is going to want to be paid. You do not open your mouth and say “I won” ... it’s amazing no one has killed her for the ticket already.

Have you see this thing making this claim?

Mirlande Wilson, who claimed she won the Lotto but keeps changing her story, is now asking for privacy.

Better get a BIG gun.
