The Department of Homeland Security has made news in the past few weeks with the revelations that they have purchased up to 650 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammunition.

Now, despite ignoring requests as to why they need that much ammo, they have moved forward and purchased an unknown amount of bullet resistant booths to possibly be stationed at unannounced checkpoints throughout the country.

“I’m afraid that most would be good little soldiers and just go along.”

And at their eventual trials we’ll cite the precedent at Nurmeburg and tell them that ‘following orders’ is not a defense.

And then we’ll give them a nice hanging.

5k employees in DHS?? You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. DHS has nearly 200K employees. There are 20k armed officers just in the Border Patrol and another 20k armed officers in the rest of CBP and then there are an additional 20 agencies. Every armed officer has to qualify quarterly. An average of 100 rounds are used in qualification. That is at least 16 million rounds a year just for the required certs just for the agencies I mentioned. The ammo is supposed to last least five years. Try doing some research before getting youself worked up into a frenzy.

When was the last time DHS was even involved in a shoot out?

BTW, if Homeland Security has so many employees, why in tarnation is our *Homeland* overrun with tens of millions of illegal aliens, during war time?

I agree, but to get to war crimes trials, you have to win.

I wonder how well it will hold up to .308 or 762X54R AP ammo. Considering how many Mosins have been sold in the US over the last 10 years.

Do you guys shoot “buck a bullet” high-tech frangible hollowpoints at the range for requal?

If so, can you explain to me why, instead of shooting 20 cents a pop FMJ range blammo?

I’m not buying it, sorry. This is not a contract for blammo, this is for serious expensive bad-ass defensive ammo.

The kind you don’t pop off 200 at a time at the range.

Unless you are telling me that Uncle Sam just always pisses away our money like that.

I bet a fully loaded dump truck would wreak havoc on one of those things.

We use frangable ball in the shoot house because it’s so called “lead free” and “green” versus evil lead or copper washed lead. Also use frangable ball on steel plates up close indoors or outdoors.

Not frangable hollow points..... hell never have seen a frangable hollow point in the local inventory .

Carry here is 147gr OSM 9mm or 125gr GDHP speer 357SIG.

I've seen these describe elsewhere as being maximized for their terminal effects, not for turning to dust on steel targets.

And anyway, even if it was frangible range quality ammo, I don't want every swinging dick in the DHS training up to SWAT/CQB standards, which is when you use the frangible training ammo. FMJ blammo is all that 95% of those guys need for qualifying at the square range against paper targets.

I do NOT want the EPA, Fish and Wildlife and IRS all practicing CQB to use against.....who? Who?

Anyway, I'm not buying that 450 million frangible HP defensive ammo were all bought for “routine training.” I'm not buying that at all.

The conclusion I reach is that Obama/Holder, in their deluded Marxist minds, are preparing for their “civlian army” to go to war against the bitter clingers, who are just not going to get with the program.

I hope the “troops” in the various FLEAs don't go along with Obama’s “program,” or is that “pogrom?”

Agree of course. Crazy day’s..... This punk Mitt is just as bad as Erkel Mugabe IMO. Gonna have to try and take senate and house to counter the comming sh*t storm on the horizon. White House is a no win situation from my view here in the cheap seats.

Stay safe !

If you don't buy it, you don't buy it. I don't know what else to say. I guess I could upload video of us actually loading Federal, .40 cal 180 grain hollow points and Speer, Gold Dot/LE .223 into weapons and shooting the ammo at quals. I don't want to give the impression that DHS isn't a problem. It's a huge problem, but not in the way many here think it is. The idea that DHS is gearing up for some kind of mass assualt on the populace would require some kind of martial prowess and spirit which is being throttled to death by the commies in DC.

Today I finished a required training course entitled Diversity and Inclusiveness. I don't see how ordering everybody in DHS to be a pansy jives with military style ops against the populace.

Besides the Herculean effort by DC to turn DHS into a bunch of pillow biting gerbil burglars, we hire and retain people that are literally handicapped. The idea of DHS launching some kind of martial oppression against a determined and resolute populace makes me laugh.

Okay, I didn’t realize that DHS blasts away “buck a bullet” defensive ammo on ranges to requal. This is a huge waste of money, wouldn’t you agree? Is it too complicated to have two categories of ammo, say, “range ammo-cheap,” and “tactical ammo, expensive?”

As far as DHS being used against the people, it’s not a matter of what you or “the troops” think or feel. It’s a matter of what Obama/Holder etc think or feel. Your feelings on the matter don’t mean anything, you don’t make policy.

Now, would Obama and Holder maybe run into a huge problem with the troops if they ordered them to begin, for example, random highway checkpoints? Yes. Will that stop Obama/Holder from initiating such plans? I don’t know.

But remember, Obama’s mentor and ghost writer is Bill Ayers, and you know about another fed agent, undercover, who recorded Ayers and his WU pals, when they said as many as 25 million bitter clingers would have to be killed? They were not going to be killed by space aliens, but FLEAs. You might thinki it’s absurd and a joke. Shoot, most soldiers and police in Germany in 1932 probably thought Hitler was a joke with his fevered imagination.

But it wasn’t a joke. Ayeras, Obama and Holder are not joking either. And with “Fast and Furious,” they have already proven that mass murder is just one more option to utilize to accomplish a political end result. We have already crossed the mass-murder Rubicon, that river is behind us now, not in front.

So please don’t wonder why we are worried about 450 million rounds of frangible anti-personnel .40 ammo have been ordered. Maybe in your world, buck-a-bullet defensive ammo is used to punch paper in requals. In my world, buck-a-bullet defensive ammo is saved to use against people, outside of a little function testing.

I understand the concern about the the ammo. But there are things that in my opinion are much more insidious. Obama and his minions are afraid of us. They know we will make short work of them in open violent confrontation. That is why they are never going to do us the favor of creating some galvanizing event. Instead they are going to continue to use our respect for the rule of law against us. When doctors deny conservatives medical care, are we going to shoot the doctors? When banks refuse to lend conservatives money are going to shoot the bankers? There is always going to be this modicum of plausible deniability that prevents conservatives from doing anything at least violently. Conservatives need to be just as enthusiastic about activism as they are about guns. If we dont’ push back politically we will all be sitting on a pile of guns with no freedom.
