There are 20k armed officers just in the Border Patrol and another 20k armed officers in the rest of CBP and then there are an additional 20 agencies. Every armed officer has to qualify quarterly. An average of 100 rounds are used in qualification. That is at least 16 million rounds a year just for the required certs just for the agencies I mentioned. The ammo is supposed to last least five years. Try doing some research before getting youself worked up into a frenzy.
