Did I just enter the twilight zone, or is this really the world where most of the key positions in state party offices are filled by the presidential nominee, and tend to be populated from their election committees? Because last time I checked, that's how this world works.

Now, if you're going to tell me some fantasy of McCain fanatics doing the slightest thing to help Newt, I'd say you're off your rocker. And of course they're for Romney - a fair number of them were his people to begin with, before they got sent to McCain. As for Santorium - of course they don't care if he gets the nomination or not - he's earned every RINO chop there is, including his magnificent ‘bipartisanship’ and losing his seat to a Democrat.

As far as I am concerned, the only ‘conservative’ in the race is Newt, and he's got some issues of his own.

Started with mind control over the other candidates and voters. 60% wanted to vote for Bachman. Maybe it was the unusual plant pods dropped off at conservatives’ gardens. /s

These candidates, including Romney, and their supporters are playing right into Obama’s hands.

Everyone before country, divide and conquer. Exactly what the left wants.

an allegation that the RNC rejects but is taking very seriously.

Even when Mitt's own supporters make the claim.

The Michigan Republican Party (MRP) Credentials Committee voted 4-2 last night to give Mitt Romney both of the state's at-large delegates, State Policy Committee Chair Mike Cox told MIRS today.

Cox was one of two "no" votes on the committee which met via telephone, along with attorney Eric Doster The "yes" votes included GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis, a Romney supporter, and MRP Chair Bobby Schostak.

That would put the delegate split at 16 for Romney and 14 for Rick Santorum, after each candidate won 14 delegates apiece in those divided by Michigan's 14 congressional districts.

As MIRS first reported on Wednesday, the MRP was delaying a final decision on the delegate split until after consulting with attorneys.

Cox said that according to the MRP rules, Santorum and Romney should each get one of Michigan's two at-large delegates based on their take of the popular vote.

"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong," Cox said of the Credentials Committee. "It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

Prince Reibus is the RNC chair. He used to be the Wisconsin GOP Chair. The state GOP is all RINO. They battled the TEA Party throughout the 2010 campaign, always throwing their support to the establishment candidate and ignoring the TEA Party choices. I have no problem believing that that the RNC skewed its support to Romney.

When Romney wraps up the nomination it is going to be almost comical to watch the whole party rally around him and declare him a “Conservative”. When we all know he isn’t.
What a sorry choice we will have, possibly the worst ever in my lifetime.
A Maxist and a Center Left Socialist. What do we choose?
I predict a low voter turnout and Obama wins by default, i.e Conservatives either staying home or voting 3rd party.

Hell yes! I received a call from the RNC at least two months ago wanting a donation. I asked her what it would it go towards, she gave me the laundry list which included very clearly, to help Romney beat Obama. I said, oh then Romney has already won the nomination, she shuddered and said basically yes.
