Current TV on Friday counter-sued former host Keith Olbermann, claiming he failed to perform his duties for the progressive television network and saying it does not owe him "a dime" of the millions Olbermann claims he is owed.
Current and Olbermann, who hosted his program "Countdown" on the network, have been locked in a war of words and legal filings since last week, when Current fired the commentator claiming he had breached his contract.
The liberal firebrand sued the network on Thursday seeking as much as $70 million he says he is owed for compensation and an equity stake he was given in the fledgling network.

I hope they bleed each other white and the lawyers get rich.
It’s like the cable news version of the Iran-Iraq War.
Liberals suing each other. Nothing bad can come of this.
Excellent
This is so funny on so many levels. Current TV may lose their Warner Cable contract due to low ratings. Neither they nor Olbermann are worth a pot to P in, yet they’re going to court against each other. For Current TV, it’s throwing good money (whatever is left) after bad. For Olbermann, it’s telling his potential employer he’s too hot to consider.
I love it!
SLAPP them both.
It would be hilarious if Rush bought Current TV and turned it into his own empire.
Depends — are you a “half the liberals lose” type; or a “half the liberals win” type?
I wish I could be compensated 70 million for reading a teleprompter. I actually have to do stuff that adds value to the economy, therefore I get tiny fractions of that.
Kief jumped the shark with Al Gore’s skis.
Yes, I can’t imagine why he would want an equity share in a network that surely hasn’t made any money and doesn’t ever expect to.
Nor can I understand why the network would counter sue when they can present their case in the initial trial. They’re just adding a layer of expense maintaining the legal coverage for two suits.
clash of the mental midgets....fun to watch.
