My policy is to never enter any of our major cities for any reason. If I must do so (and partying on St. Pat’s is ***not*** a good reason), I’ll make sure to be making use of my CCW (read: I’ll be carrying). I will **not** under any circumstances approach any of these youths, even if it means going out of my way to avoid them. If they approach, the pistol comes out (pointed at the ground if I have some space). If they continue to approach, I’ll make it damned clear that they’re in danger of dying there and then if they come any closer.
And if they’re really stupid enough to approach further, they will become official Darwin Award winners.
I really hate the thought of having to draw my weapon and possibly kill someone, but.........but...

The punk that grabbed something out of his pocket wasn’t the biggest threat. He came in like a hyena and ran away, it was the taller dude approaching him on the opposite side that was about to do him major harm.
Just heartbreaking, I really felt bad for this guy.
