I could care less if Santorum stays in. He is completely irrelevant as he could never be elected to anything beyond local office. Newt is focused on furthering conservative ideas, and holding Republicans’ feet to the fire. Something I would never trust Santorum to do. Romney already has the nomination. Santorum never ever had any chance of being the nominee. Wake up. Move on.
Then step aside and let the conservatives who want to defeat Romney come in.
We need conservatives who are willing to fight, not conservatives looking for an excuse to quit. I’m sorry that Newt didn’t have what it takes, and that’s hard to accept. Hey, I’ve been there.
But this nomination isn’t yet over even if Newt is done. Like I said earlier, we need all the fighters we can get.
