April 9, 2007: We took in Miss Hissy Slashy from being a stray in our yard because there was an 8"-deep snowstorm, and we just couldn't leave her out in it any longer.

She was about a year old and had been spayed, but she was a challenge because (we suspected) no one had ever been gentle and loving toward her before (thus the name she earned for herself).

We're thinking of changing her name to Miss Purry Petme, but we're not sure she'd answer to it, LOL! Nice painting of Salem, Mass. We live near Salem, Ohio, and it always snows/rains/has more weather in Salem than its surrounding towns and cities.
