Voters in Anchorage, Alaska, overwhelmingly voted in favor of the natural family by rejecting Proposition 5, a measure that would have given special rights based on lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual behavior.

Proposition 5 would have given special rights to sexual behavior and would have been used as a club to silence dissent of the faith community. Alaska voters sent a loud and clear statement to the rest of the country that forcing people to provide special privileges based on sexual behavior is unwise.

The measure was put on the ballot and supported by a consortium of LGBT groups, called “One Anchorage.” This group outspent those opposed to Proposition 5 by a margin of 4 – 1. Religious organizations and churches in the area rallied to oppose Proposition 5 and were successful in turning out voters. Pastor Jerry Prevo of Anchorage Baptist Temple, working with other leaders and grassroots voters, helped lead the efforts to defeat Proposition 5. In the end, the voters overwhelmingly rejected the measure by a percentage of 58 – 41.

Anchorage has proven that Americans still stand strong to protect the natural family!

Sad to know that 41% of the voters would side with the Faggots, Queers, Lesbos and HE/SHE/ITS. Even the huskies quake in fear of the horn dogs in the 49th.

They’ll just get a compliant judge to throw out the vote count and say it is biased.
About the only thing I can agree with the mooselimbs on,
just say NO to fags.

Homosexuals exclaim that their sexuality is none of our business yet they want government at all levels to afford them special rights based solely on their sexuality.

Some precincts ran out of ballots and were forced to improvise or send people to precincts with ballots. I fully expect this to be challenged, if not overturned out of hand. The gay lobby is a dominate feature of the AK. legal system.
The 41% came from the die hard left that voted for it just because the conservatives were for it, Also several former Mayors and Governors with interest in the tourism industry supported it to avoid the potential stigma the gay lobby is known to try to impose on areas that don’t comply with their agenda. Finally confusion reigned about how far reaching this could be, nobody on the right brought up the examples of what is happening in the EU and Canada, Reporters and commentators seem to no longer be able to do basic research.

Arrests were made for sermons, proselytizing was considered hate speech if you made reference to certain scripture and were overheard by someone that took offense. Some companies began pushing the diversity seminars to the point of reeducation classes. Also any argument with a GLBT put you at risk of legal repercussions, whether related to their lifestyle or not. Because your just a hater!
