I selected the M1944 carbine because it has that nifty folding bayonet that looks very scary (at least to the NYPD and MSM pukes).

Now, if you're talking the Model 91/30 with its detachable socket bayonet, Nakwon could have threatened people with that bayonet if he was the “threatener” on one end of a city block and the “threatenee” was at the opposite end of the block. That 91/30 bayonet just looks NASTY when stuck on the end of the rifle.

And the 7.62x54R cartridge is in the main battle rifle class along with the 7.92x57 Mauser, .303 British, and .30-05 Springfield. The .223 Remington (5,56 NATO) is a wimpy intermediate cartridge along with the .30 Carbine, 7.62x39, and 5.45x39.

Why “New Englanders”?

New York isn’t part of New England, and the only ones reading the rags from there are transplanted.

Just curious.

LOL, let's give thanks to whoever made up the first one, and to Lazamataz for the second one.

The graphics are indeed worth a thousand words in showing ridicule for the "panties in a wad", anti-gun leftist, Fifth-Columnists who control the media, and who lie just to hear the words whistle past their lips.

I’ll agree to a total ban on firearms as long as there are NO government or military exemptions. NONE AT ALL.

BCR, while i appreciate your tenacity and respect yer postings, dont give em any ideas as for one, like iran or n korea, the statists would agree, and then covertly refuse to disarm, and for two, the firearms tech genie is outta the bottle, and if we shipped every last firearm to mars, before the rocket left orbit, al capone would have the lathes running and would have unchecked power, kinda like giving up all our nukes to promote a nuclear free world...

i know im preachin to the choir...carry on Sir...8^}

Yep, and I’d be the first to be turning out firearms. I’d be taking over in short order. The libtards better ask themselves if that’s really what they want.

The NYPD said the Ruger is so powerful, it could have pierced the ballistics shield carried by the first officer through Foxworth’s door.

LMAO! I missed this little gem on my first read.

It's a .223. It's designed for higher muzzle velocity. Hell, any rifle caliber north of .22 would pierce a ballistics shield, and depending on how it's held, that ballistics shield would become a nasty mess if hit by enough .40 cal handgun rounds.

Modern BPVs won't stop your run-of-the-mill hunting round.

Any Ballistic shield you could see through would be too heavy to stop anything bigger than a fat handgun round. Anything pointy would go right through. I doubt it would stop a .22wmr.

Citizens with no criminal record should be able, at will, to carry, concealed or open, any firearm they please, hand gun or long gun, anywhere they please without let or hindrance by government authorities.

I’m a little confused by your post. Are you saying that a clear ballistic shield WOULD stop a .30-06, .30-30, or 7.62x54R round? How about 5.7, .40, or .45 handgun rounds?

I would imagine any round larger than .308 FMJ would shatter a clear ballistic shield or at least leave the holder with a broken arm and a bad headache.

Correct — it's .30-06 Springfield. Some times my fingers hit the wrong keys. Ooops.

There was actually a .30-03 Springfield. This was the first loading of the cartridge that used a 220-grain round nose bullet. All M1903 rifles made to chamber this cartridge were returned to Springfield Armory, Springfield, MA after the adoption of the .30-06 cartridge. The .30-06 round used a 173-grain pointed “Spitzer” boattailed bullet that gave better range and accuracy. This was known as the M1 loading. All .30-03 barrels (including those installed on rifles), were reworked to the new .30-06 (or M1) standard. In World War 2 and Korea, the standard was the M2 loading with a 150-grain, pointed, flat base bullet. The 150-grain loading is now the most commonly found.

The stock barrel is very light weight. The impact point sfrings vertically as the barrel heats. It’s fine for the intended use as a light duty ranch rifle. Coyotes and prairie dogs.

Most handgun rounds are blunt and spread their force in an area 20 times larger. Rifle and 5.7 are pointing little bastards and should penetrate at least a shield. The 5.7 was designed to penetrate armor and did quite a job a Ft. Hood.

"New York isn’t part of New England"

Isn't York part of old England? Wouldn't 'New York' be 'New England', then?

Don’t forget the mini 14’s slightly bigger brother, the mini 30. Fires 7.62 x 39 WARSAW pact ammo, available at about $100 per 1000 rounds... or so
