NO conservative mind would do what noot does - throw out ‘big ideas’ that are ALWAYS government ‘solutions’

You must've been be a liar for Santorum. Newt's 'big idea' for going to the moon was private enterprise, not a government 'solution.' His 'big idea' for balancing the budget is to 'shrink the size over government to meet revenue' which is why his flat tax is not "revenue neutral." His 'big idea' on health care and social security is to put you in charge, not the government and move things to the states and away from the federal leviathan.

The "government 'solutions'" guy was, is and will be Santorum.

his big idea to make janitors and caretakers out of section 8 housing residents - how much bureaucracy and money needed for that?

actually - i was a liar for bachmann - wait - her record does not need lies

like noot did when he said he offered friends to abc news - and when he serially cheated on his wives

campaigns are important. Newt didn't produce when it was important. I would have fought for him, as he is a fighter, but if you don't look at the delegate count and what states are left, you are going to be left out of the fight. I'm just asking you to look at the delegate votes and the states left and when you do that, you can see maybe that Romney will get 1144 by mid-June even if Newt and Santo get more votes.

Where’d you get “6 hours”? I didn’t hear him say Newt doesn’t have any Conservative values? Is there an audio clip of Mark saying that? Did he say it on another show? He didn’t say it since he’s been on, or at least I didn’t hear him say it.

It's been a little over 6 hours since santorum quit, and levin is already on board with Romney... he didn't hear the Newt's campaign response, nothing, he is on board with romney big time and right now. Mark always said the reason he supported Santorum was because he believed in conservative values, well, Newt's still in - doesn't he have any consrvative values? Romney has more conservative values? I am not understanding this at all..

Mark has never been a “special pleader” for Newt. Have you read Newt’s books? I have. You should. That said, I would have picked him over Obama, except that he has not been trying to get votes past the debates. It takes more energy than he has.

He’s pragmatic: whatever and whomever it takes to beat 0bummer&Co. Too many I’ve run into here would rather stay home or skip the top-line vote and vote for the downstream candidates, thinking that they’ll “punish the GOP-e”, but in reality all they’re doing is guaranteeing 0bummer&Co another 4 years. That’s going to kill us all and destroy America. We’ll never get her back unless we get that POS out of office, at all costs.

It is not the 1st time the EGOP has driven people out.

Without giving away the candidates name, I got to see a tea partier that ran a courageous campaign in 10' Said Candidate attracted people I have never seen on "our side". JFK Democrats, labor types and a former assistant big wig in the Reagan Administration that left politics after GHWB. Yes this person left politics and did note vote in almost 20 years because they saw them (What we now call the EGOP) mucking it up back then. I had the pleasure of shaking their hand, the hand that shook the hand of Reagan.

I am one of those that may loose it for us, I grew up in Mass, I have family their, and have to deal with things back their that would curl your hair. It is a Socialist Kibbutz, and this is what Romney was the Apparatchik of, and many wonder why I am tainted. In discussions today with tea party types at lunch, the discussion of Obama mucking it up to collapse and a reset came up and I didn't even start it. Compared to Romney, they saw this as an option.

The base cannot stand the smell of this rotten kettle of fish that is Romney. And the "EGOP" has no one to blame but themselves.

It is time, 11.7.12, to start the "Party of Reagan". I am ready to abide by the divorce papers the EGOP gave us, it is time for me to move out anyway...

noot had a huge smackdown in the first debate after the news of his cheating broke - the moderator asked him about it - noot gave a speech that smacked down the moderator and had everyone on the right on their feet cheering

he said he offered friends for abc news to talk to about the facts of his cheating

that was a lie - he DID NOT do that

Mark can’t stand Romney, but an 0bama 2nd term would be worse by far. I’d much prefer Newt myself, even though I didn’t think to much of him in the beginning.

BTW - What happens to all of the delegates that would have been pledged to Santorum??

i think noot is comfortable with lies

Newt was my choice too......but come on man... You say Levin and Limbaugh act like Gingrich isn't even in the race, but Newt himself acts this way lately. He's been saying Romney is the likely nominee for days now, Newt's campaign is flat broke (in the hole 4.5 million), he has not been able to win over GOP primary voters, etc. I mean, it is what it is.

What seems to be happening is you (among other people) are shocked, yet again, that conservative and Republican standard bearers are rallying behind the GOP nominee. This happens every time and will always happen. Politics is as much about defeating the opposition party as it is about advancing your own ideology. We have a 2 party system with NO ability to form coalition governments. As such, we will very rarely have an opportunity to vote for someone in a national general election campaign we are truly excited about. Levin and Limbaugh are simply being pragmatic, and they are right.

first, I am not a man, I am a woman :)

And, no, I am not at all surprised at Santorum, the GOP, the establishment, I am surprised at Levin. That is why I posted here. I don't understand him doing this at all... Not at all. It really is hurting me.

RE the delegates - I am not sure, I have heard various things. One, that they are bound through the first vote at the convention, and then various scenarios regarding the second and following ballots. I am sure now that he is out, there will be something coming out to clear that up.

I have been working for Newt since May. I don't plan on giving up now. Please consider donating to him, and working for him. There is plenty to do.

Oops, sorry bout' that. Thanks for taking my error in stride though :)

I hear ya, but honestly, you really shouldn't have expected anything else. They are being pragmatic. Newt has no money, is polling below Ron Paul, just bounced a $500 filing fee to get on the ballot in Utah, etc. I'm sorry, but it is time to face reality here. That is all Levin is doing. He obviously hates that the GOP will be nominating yet another RINO, but he has a responsibility to be realistic, straightforward and honest - and he feels beating Hussein is just too important and therefore was always going to support the GOP nominee no matter who it was.
