“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.” - Alexander Hamilton
Mitt can be relegated to history's backwaters yet.
In full disclosure, I held the same “I'll never vote for the RINO Romney” sentiments that many are still holding to. I think people saw all the hard work that the Tea Parties did for our win in 2012 go down the drain with the GOPE shoving yet another RINO down our throats. I understand the bitterness and disgust with having to once again eat another SH*T sandwich and hold our noses. However, reality is what it is. To help me deal with this reality, I remind myself that whatever Romney is, he's not Marxist, and he doesn't hate the country. In my choice to cling to the reality of the situation we're facing; holding these views of Romney will enable me to vote for him if need be. Is this the ideal situation, or the way i wanted things to be? Hell no! But again, I'm choosing to deal with reality...not what I want.
Four more years of Obama and our country is finished...with Romney, at least we have a fighting chance, IMHO.
Romney simply isn't a guy anyone wants to vote for or support.
He's far from inevitable.
You think that he believes in "christian" civilization? Do you know anything about Mormons? You'd better find out.
think this is where you are from.
From the liberal areas like the north east and the west coast then Romney is no problem, he is a liberal on many matters like homo’s planned parenthood etc, where as here in the south and the midwest where the conservative base is then we see things very much differently.
I’ve met many from the north east and the west coast who think of themselves republicans but then they come out with the same crap of “well I know a homo he is nice” etc
Here in the south etc we actually look at them as another liberal who only cares about themselves.
As for evangelicals, are you kidding me, some of them want open borders etc because they think Jesus would.
Romney is another liberal plain and simple
Or you could vote for your “favorite son.”
Except for Congress most of the government was operated from Chicago from about 1876 to 1910 or thereabouts.
Actually it is the GOP’s race to lose if they make the elections a referendum on Obama and his policies. Do the American people really want four more years of Obama? Are they still believers in hope and change or does the reality of massive debt, high unemployment, skyrocketing gas prices, socialist healthcare, etc. determine which way they will vote.
No Rep could have beat Obama in 2008 and certainly McCain was the worst possible candidate. Everyone seems to forget what happened in the 2010 midterms, one of the most historic in our history. The Dems were routed at the federal, state, and local levels. Do the 2010 midterms portend what happens in 2012 similar to the 2006 midterms that brought the Dems back into control of Congress?
Predictions of a GOP loss in 2012 are much too premature and more than likely, wrong. And this is without the growing economic doom in Europe, China’s hard landing, and tensions in the Middle East and on the Korean peninsula. And then there are the SCOTUS decisions on Obamacare and AZ 1070 due in June.
If Romney has all the political attributes of a Presidential loser, Obama has the record and problems of a Presidential loser—bigtime.
We should focus our efforts on congress. That is where we can make a difference. The Presidency is gone. It will be Obama or Romney.
We could learn from liberals and communists in that they are long-term minded and never give up. They always find a way to inch the ball along. we must do the same. It’s a marathon not a sprint
Thank you for the words of hope!
Experience shows that it's usually the other way around -- conservative Congresses don't pull liberal Republican presidents to the right; the president pulls the conservatives in Congress to the left. (after all, we only have one President, so we have to support him.) This is what happened with Nixon and both Bushes.
Yes, 1/2 not voted yet. And Texas is in process of deciding to adopt “all or nothing” delegate selection. Pretty big block of votes ride there.
Correction:
Should have said “winner take all”
Sorry, I am tired.
I hate myth. But even if there is a 5 percent chance he will be better than Obama it’s worth taking that chance. In my mind given the lethal threat posed by thugbama.
if it were a moderate demo I could understand people staying home, but not with Obama. NEVER! Obama is a plague on this nation!
