You’re not getting it, we’re not debating the ethics of this tactic, we’re debating the effectiveness. How does it help either send to have surrogates saying their candidate is too moderate when most likely the message they’re trying to get out is that their opponent is too extreme? That can’t work in today’s world when every ad will hit the internet and cable and won’t be limited to a specific region.

you're the one not getting it.

There are still large numbers of principled conservatives (not pragmatic in nature) who still do not know about the left-wing, Progressive Liberal record of Mitt Romney, and as the posts of articles prove, this is not hyperbole.

The rats know this, and we, as educated conservatives know this, a lot of people have not heard this yet, they will, because the DNC, Obama, the Media, and every other far-left organization knows it is effective in reducing turnout precisely because our side actually cares about ethics, principles, and morals.

Romney is through and he hasn't even gotten out of the gate.

Well, actually I thought of a better answer for you. If they paint Romney as a flip-flopper, they’ll be able to show different quotes of his showing both liberal and conservative statements. So if they use that tactic, it could work.
