4/10 UPDATE: Baltimore's police chief today said that the videotaped beating of a white tourist does not appear to be a hate crime, but rather "drunken opportunistic criminality" on the part of a gang of Charm City assailants.
In a radio interview, Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld III urged Baltimore residents to "distinguish between criminality and racially motivated crime." Bealefeld, who is white, warned against "race-baiting" and "fear-mongering" in light of the Trayvon Martin shooting and other recent racially charged incidents.

Yes. Had the victim produced a handgun and fired upon his attackers in self defense, that would've been a racially motivated crime.

The 2nd video is even more disgusting than the 1st one. The guy is helpless after cracking his head on the sidewalk, and a black girl walks up and hits him in the face with (I think) her shoe. Lots of the ‘audience’ members join in on the ‘fun’ and attack him. But there’s no racial motive! Yeah, right.
How much longer will we have to ‘pretend’?

Well, Commissioner, see you might fool citizens with that “no racial component” crap, but I know for a fact that either the police officers did not ask if there were any racial epithets used during the assault, or they were “removed” from the report. Or the officer was “encouraged” to remove them. Or “encouraged” not to ask if there were any from the start.
It simply would not do to expose that racial epithets are common against white victims.

Precisely. What part of "all men are created equal" don't the racist/activist group understand? EVERY human life is important. We have laws to cover justice to people who take lives criminally - for ANY criminal reason.
