Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton told the TODAY show Thursday that she believes her son’s fatal shooting by George Zimmerman was an accident.

“I believe it was an accident, I believe that it just got out of control and he couldn’t turn the clock back," she said.

If Trayvon had drugs in his system what impact would that have on the prosecution?

Well... it would certainly complicate her case.

If he did, wouldn’t the prosecutor know that?

By now, everyone should have known. Funny how no mention of any autopsy results has hit the 'news'. I would 'assume' that if the autopsy results were 'helpful' to the 'innocence' of Martin, they would have been headlines.

"A cynic might think that the Homeowner Association’s insurance policy covers accidents but not willfull misconduct and unlawful acts."

Cynic here! And because Zimmerman was "self appointed" he was not acting in any official capacity? It was all an "accident".

Man you are good.

More likely somebody with a brain told her that when this guy gets acquitted he is going to sue the snot out of her family and everybody else.

Oh, there is nothing so beautiful as clear, unadulterated truth.

Ny feeling is the States Attorney has a couple of underreported facts/circumstances that give her a really stong case against Zimmerman under Florida Law and Zimmerman is as innocent as Mumia Abu-jamal.

Unless something like that turns out to be true, Corey needs to be crucified!

A trial will do nothing to damper such claims. It didn't in the King trials and it wont here.

At some point, Trayvon’s parents will fully comprehend that it will be Trayvon and them that are actually put on trial; history of Gangsta behavior, quotes from parents indicating a lack of disciplinary control, the time line involved and more.

George Zimmerman got arrested, but it will be Trayvon who gets tried and convicted.

She hasn’t changed her mind but when Mr. Zimmerman is killed, she can point to her love of him.

the “organizers” have their arrest.

I am wondering if they know they don’t have a chance at a jury conviction. If that is so, by just deleting the case itself they can now claim the issue and not be dismissed as causing riots.

She knows he attacked Zimmerman. She’s had to face the reality of the evidence and especially the info coming to light since then. Her son’s intent will be key in the trial if there is one. All of the twitter quotes and photos will be brought in.

Bragged about truancy. Suspended from school 10 days for a third time. Caught with burglary tools, weed residue and jewelry that wasn't his. Slugged a bus driver. Made the middle finger his presentation of himself to the rest of the world. Sent away to live somewhere else because his mother obviously could not handle him on her own. Yah, you are right his mother probably already knew what happened the moment she found out he was dead. It was a matter of when, not if.

I wonder if she realized that when the real story gets out her son won’t be the innocent martyr the media and the race-baters made him out to be.

I’m begging the question — they were in DC yd as well for their big news conference with POS Al Sharpton. I don’t know how long they were there before that.

FWIW, IMO they are getting tips from the Special Prosecutor. Yd they had their press conference, and the mother said something like “I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that justice will be served”, and half an hour later there was BREAKING NEWS that they would be arresting Zimmerman.

It is only tragic that a guy who needed to use self-defense has been savage for weeks in the court of public opinion and had a bounty put on his head by black thug racists demanding he be arrested because he had to shoot a young black punk who decided to re-engage and start beating the sh1t out of Zimmerman.

It I tragic for Zimmerman, not Trayvon. Normal civil people do not do what he did and believe that is an acceptable way to behave towards others.

ah she got what she wanted, an arrest, now she can get that civil suit going and collect the money .

Sharpton said loving parents yesterday, really that loving that the kid has been in trouble quite a bit , then suspended from school and goes to another city instead of loving parents grounding kid.

yep between the copyright and the civil suit coming up she got what she wanted out of this.

cue some bleeding heart saying”OMG how cruel, she lost her poor dear loving child”

It depends on what you - and how you - apologize for.

I am sorry I had no choice but to defend myself from your son who was pummeling my face and smashing my head into the ground, and trying to get my gun away from me.

You can apologize without admitting you did something wrong. You can apologize for having to do the right thing because you recognize that doing the right thing had negative consequences for others. It’s not required but people can do it. The armed forces routinely is sorry or sends regrets to people about bad things that happened, all the time, without saying what happened was wrong.

The gated community he was in had over a dozen burglaries in the prior weeks, plus one home invasion occur.

There is context as to why he might have been more in contact with 911 than normal.

Agreed. If the facts prove Zimmerman was attacked and he shot in self defense, the Martins owe Zimmerman an apology.

Not talked about much anywhere but the Martin “family” photos of flashing gang signs at the younger siblings birthday party (6 yr old?)....what did they think this type of behavior would lead to?

Also would love to hear discovery about the bus driver Trayvon “took a swing” at.
