Hilary Rosen: 'Spare Me The Faux Anger' On Ann Romney 'Never Worked A Day In Her Life' Remark

Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen wants Republicans to spare her the "faux anger" as backlash against her continues to build for saying Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's wife, Ann Romney, "never worked a day in her life."

The remarks were seen as an attack on stay-at-home mothers, being that Ann Romney cared for her five children -- Tagg, Matt, Josh, Ben and Craig -- as a housewife.

"Guess what, [Romney's] wife has actually never worked a day in her life," Rosen told CNN, referring to Ann Romney.

Ann Romney used her first tweet to suggest raising five children amounted to a job.

"I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work," she tweeted.

Politicos on both sides of the aisle condemned Hilary Rosen's remarks, including top advisers to President Barack Obama.

“Republican women will not fall for your crap.”

Republican women is NOT who this is aimed at.
It’s aimed at DEMOCRAT women, and independents, to make the angry, and get them to the polls in November.

These people aren’t lying to you, they are lying to thier own base, and the Magic Sqwauking Box in the living room will be reinforcing the message, nightly.

The comment angered me and I’m a woman (can’t tell from my screenname).

As an aside, seeing the expression “being that” also enrages me.

It’s always faux anger with conservatives. Only liberals can be angry over things like this.

Don’t forget about the stay at home dads. There are a lot of Mr. Moms out there who lost thier jobs and are unable to find work outside the home thanks to 0bams’s failed economic record.

If Rosen hitched her wagon to a successful man, then she could be a stay at home mom. That is if she even has her children.

In fact, if they were both successful, either of them could stay home and play at being the children's mom.

It amazes me that these females, that have total disdain for men, would even have a say about how the real relationships of married heterosexual people are.

According to what I just heard, the Romney’s had their first three sons while they were both in college and had to pay a sitter while Ann attended classes.
Romney did not start out rich, he has worked for everything he has.

By my definition, “Democrat Strategist” isn’t a working job. To have a “job” generally requires that you are building something - not tearing it down (demolition experts excepted, of course).

I, too, stayed home and raised my children. I thank God every day that I was privileged to do it.

I had a phone call from an ex-schoolmate who asked if I was working? I said Yes. She asked what I was doing. I replied, “Grocery shopping, cooking, scrubbing floors, laundry, ironing, sewing to save money, recovering the couch to save money, making drapes, wallpapering, cleaning, taking the kids to the doctor and dentist, picking up prescriptions, overseeing what they watched on TV, etc. etc.”

She then said, “Oh, I mean a REAL job.”

Hillary Rosen’s own career has consisted of nothing more worthwhile than leading the RIAA in destroying technological innovation and lobbying to get bad laws passed. The nation would be far better off if she’d never decided to work outside the home.

Oh yeah that stuff just is not up to real job status.*eyeroll* I get it a lot since I stay at home.My health issue like Anne’s isn’t at first glance noticeable.I’ve been asked to my face why I am so lazy and then they look at my husband and tell him that he should make me go to work.I mean really I thought we were equals and that no man could tell me anything?I get so fed up with those sort of women. My husband tells them to mind their own business that we are happy with our lives the way it is and perhaps if they were happy with their lives they wouldn’t be so quick to busy body into other’s lives? LOL
