Rosen: 'I Apologize to Ann Romney'
Big Government ^ | 04-12-12 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 04/12/2012 11:00:21 AM PDT by Lazlo in PA

Amid a massive backlash from the American public and a stampeding retreat from her supporters, Democratic National Committee advisor Hilary Rosen backtracked from her words about Ann Romney last night on CNN, stating a few moments ago, “As a pundit, I know my words on CNN last night were poorly chosen … I apologize to Ann Romney.” The report of that statement comes from Jim Acosta at CNN.

The question is whether the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee will apologize to Romney, and whether they will fire Rosen over this incident. Rosen has long been associated with the Obama team and the DNC, and her apology means virtually nothing given the fact that she has defended her comments at length over the past 24 hours. Only pressure from inside the Obama campaign and DNC forced this apology. Even then, she apologized to Romney for her wording, not for the point she was making.

While Rosen or any others like her cannot talk about Ann Romney , well lets face it big bum Michelle, Rosen or Ann have not one clue what it is like to get ahead, put out of work, do the right thing and miss out on things like never eating out, cannot order pizza , spouse breaks back in 3 places, kids etc and all of that whilst never ever go into debt,

Yup. This is a no winner for either side: While stay at home moms will justifiably resent Obama for Rosen's comments, they will also resent Ann Romney because she really isn't one of them, no matter how the campaign tries to spin it.

OK, I hear you, let’s agree that we are raising the future of our country. My son was furious when heard about our national debt and realized he was going to have to pay for it. He has informed me that he was a libertarian the other day. quote “the government sucks” LOL, is this his mama’s influence?

How many children did she have while she stayed home?

Or was contraception in use?

I work with people who gigle about who they’re voting for with zip zero understanding of the position of this nation let alone the candidates positions...they vote based on what they view on TV alone.....thus we’re not going to see our candidates in any favorable light whatsoever. The media does control the populace for the most part...and that has been the lefts agenda to do so for years.

A Not to mention both Obama and Michelle have gone after our youth and kids.....I hate that...leave kids out of it...but they expect no one to say a word about their own.

The food issue with schools had nothing to do with their diets IMO...it was a shoe in into our kids world. It’s worked too unfortunately.

They should have otherwise gone for the drugs in our schools...and the sexual promiscuity....but no they attacked parents packed lunches. Idiots!

I think the only truth our kids are going to get is what’s said at the dinner table by their parents. Otherwise the media and the school system frames their thinking entirely.

I noted well when my sons went to college...and later one transferred to a very liberal college, to obtain the further courses he needed. More than once he said between the Professors and the students he felt like he wasn’t in the United States of America but some other foreign nation...it was difficult for him being a conservative there.

I and many of my friends are stay at home moms. Trust me, Rosen comments made a mark. This is the kind of crap that pisses us off. We were all on the phone yakking about this one. I for one intend to make sure we all remember it come November

Exactly. Like Bill Clinton’s apologies, she’s sorry she got caught and negative press, not for the substance of her remarks.

Wasn't that great? He was going back to the days when even wealthy people would force their kids to strike out on their own, without promise of support, or returning home. The basement cold-water flat in grad school, without money for new carpet -- been there.

Hell, I left home, off to college, when I was 18. Had enough work in the summer to pay for a year of college and would take on construction jobs while in school to put some bucks in my pocket. Fraternity brothers would take notes for my classes that I'd miss and I'd always make the time to take the tests. Didn't happen often, but it did happen.

When I left school, it was off to the Army. When I came back I got married and we lived in a basement apartment paying $75/month (utilities included), and bought a new car with payments of $60/month! Damn, I long for the old days...sigh

If that pondscum Truman (the original white Obama) could win it then I posit everyone to right of Henry “Kneel before Zod” Wallace would have been able to including Romney.

I realize you were just making a valid point that Romney is a wussy rather than a literal statement but I can’t pass up an opportunity to bash Truman. ;-D

I think Bill Clinton would have nuked Japan. Hell I think “Looter Guy” of Hurricane Katrina fame would have nuked Japan. ;-D

Hmm looter guy, if he still lives, ideal running mate for Mitt? I bet he could drink Biden under the table.

I can’t believe he’s never been IDed, guy could be rich.

You cannot know womans plight until you've walked it...nor can you understand. But you don't realize this when financial issues are not an issue. You think you know and can understand...but you really and truly do not.

You cannot know the plight of men. Looked to for stability, as wartime soliders, fighting amongst ourselves in the civilian streets, expected to show no emotion; no pain... being a man is far more difficult than you can ever understand, unless you have walked the walk.

That's right woman can't know...but we can surely admire and respect our men for what they do and how they are designed to stand strong when they need to...

I was in a car accident once, shook me up enough I couldn't stop shaking all over. A total stranger, (a man), came over and just held me tight til the shaking calmed. I will never forget that nor the stability he gave me.

That's just one occasion where men have stood tall in a difficult situations where they simply step up to the plate and be what we woman love and respect them for.

There's so much more they do...and often they are unaware of how significant they truly are...gotta love them!

I disagree, stay at home moms will be more outraged because Mrs.Romey is also a cancer survivor and victim of MS.

Their attacks on her made her one of them.
