I keep a fully loaded shotgun next to my bed.

Can you get out of here with your "I'm a big gun owner so I know stuff you can't possibly know" business.

What nonsense. Everybody's got guns.

I was referring to the DA's apparent interpretation as reflected in the S-J news piece.

Turns out that when you read the DA's opinion he goes through the self defense and the SYG laws and finds that both lead you to the same conclusion ~ justifiable self defense!

Try reading beyond the elements in a developmental conversation about what we have in the news, or in government releases, to help us understand what's going on.

And don't come messin' round my house in the dark, yo!

I never claimed to be a “big bad gun owner,” rather I tried to reassure you that guns won’t jump up on their own and start blowing away defensless school busses filled with thousands of babies and puppies. They might chase postal workers, but not beyond the front walk.

Please forgive me, but I simply assumed based on your comments that the thought of guns outside of government control sent you into a hissy fit. Based on the responses of others to your post, I’m not the only one. I’m sorry if I was out of line. I’m kind of new here and I’ve had family and cow-irkers (coworkers) use similar arguments against our 2nd Amendment rights.

Incidently, please don’t shoot a poor defensless mail carrier or UPS man with your macho shotgun, yo! They’re not in season until late fall.

Incidently, Remington 870s are great. A good .45 semi supplements a shotgun, quite well.

I work with a retired Air Force officer who does not own a gun.

What’s next, the “False dilemma?” You’ve just tried the Ad Hominem attack. You aren’t very good aren’t very good with that one.
