I don't hate Romney, but I do despise him. And when I vote in November, it won't be for him.. And I've got the track record to back that up. I voted 3rd party in 1972 and 1992. So I'm due for a 3rd party vote to keep my 20 year cycle intact! I have to wonder if that's a coincidence.
I don’t hate Romney, but I do despise him.
I despise him, too.
But I hate and loath 0bama.
We’re in a terrible spot.

I have voted for the GOP POTUS nominee every single time since 1980. Twice I did so with joy. It was morning in America. Then came George Herbert Walker Bush.
Did.
Not.
Like.
But I voted for him anyway. Morning in America wore off and the shadows grew long. I really have not liked any of them from 1988 to this day, a QUARTER OF A CENTURY LATER. But the opponent was always so much worse. Until now. Now it is night. Now, I am done. I have compromised, over and over and over for less and less and less. But I will not capitulate. Compromise was shame enough. Surrender is not acceptable.
No Romney.
No way.
Not now.
Not ever.
This Lamanite is OFF the reservation.
How did that work for you? Here's how it worked for me:
In 1972 we got Nixon over McGovern, IMHO a good thing, despite your best efforts. At the time I was the minor child of a serviceman, and I remember the palpable sense of relief in my parents' demeanor as the results of that landslide became apparent.
In 1992 you helped usher Clinton into ofice. At that time I was myself a serviceman, and the hell of the next eight years means that my personal feelings for you for that one cannot be spoken on FR or within 10 miles of a church without risking some sort of lightning.
