I’m pretty sure I wasn’t speaking to you when mentioning politeness. If I had been I’d have addressed you.

I wasn’t screaming for the teacher. I was informing an idiot that that’s how things are done here - when you mention someone, you ping them.

I’m not the only one that feels it’s polite, see a few posts below yours, by Onyx.

On an open forum, you're addressing everyone.
Try the 'private reply' next time, so you can be totally ignored properly.

I don't need politeness lessons from a legend in his own mind.

I’m very confused about this posting, in that I tried twice unsuccessfully to link to it, so I posted my comments to the poster.

Afterward, I was able to link and now I’m uncertain whether he’s the idiot writer of that slam or just the member poster, given he’s not replied on this thread.

Either way, I apologized, “just in case”. I can always take back my apology if he’s the writer of that nasty rant.

BTW,Publius6961, it is not “telling or calling the teacher” to ping Jim. It’s the right course of action to take.
