Altura, you will be interested in knowing that your Gov Perry was in Arkansas yesterday giving speeches at Lincoln Day dinners for the GOP. He is a humorous speaker and very easy to listen to. Gave a good talk about economic issues and energy in particular. Said any of the candidates who ran with him would be better than Obama as President. No disparaging attitude or words against the GOP or any individual. We went to the dinner specifically to hear him and were not disappointed. He urged support for taking back the senate and adding to the house etc. The voters at our table all support and will vote for, dare I mention, Mitt Romney. No caveats. Ages were us the oldest and a mid twenties newly wed couple, a single mid twenties lad and a mid forty lady and a mid forty couple. All educated and originally from different states so they still have connections to family and friends in various parts of the country. I mention all of this as I was mentally noting the various aspects of the voting for the coming election. I mostly listened and was glad to hear conversation that was upbeat. Quite interesting was the single woman who was an activist in the democrat party until several years ago and said she turned in her creds at some function because she realized that after a lifetime of being a democrat she had concluded she no longer had anything significant in common with the party that has turned totally socialist. Also interesting were the youngest three who support Ron Paul for his bringing attention to the constitution etc. and they will vote for him in the primary but for Mitt Romney in the general. Their feeling was that Paul is not the best choice for CIC. Since all of the individuals at our table had never met I was struck at how common our thinking was on the political situation and the necessity for voting Obama out asap.

Love your suspicious mind and I agree with you.

Normally this kind of thing could and would be covered up. Now the administration almost seems to be relishing it.

Wonder what these secret servicemen know or could tell about Obama.

Yes. Still a little weepy that Governor Perry was rejected by the voters and crucified on this forum.

Glad that the people at the meeting are supporting Romney.

There’s nothing left to do but that or gripe.

Griping doesn’t gain anything.

I’m really tired of it here.

Cosby tried being reasonable. It got him almost exiled from the black community. I don’t know the state of his health now, but maybe he just succumbed to the black thing.

Most of them do, sadly.

It’s a sad time for the United States because of Obama and his minions. Not a decent person among them.

That’s why I despair at people here who plan to continue his destructive regime by vowing they won’t vote for Romney.

It’s really, really sad.

It’ll also change when the Republican party when Ron Paul legalize dope/no war go home to the Democrat party. Also when some didn’t want late members to our caucus vote, I had that done with it all feeling, but I am staying to take over the Republican Party as a grass roots TEA Party movement, though I sometimes find myself to the right of them, I have time and God willing, can outwit any moderate/liberal thinkers.

Just be prepared for an economic freeze by summer 2013, say 2015 if it’s Romney, being he also doesn’t understand it’s take a Conservative Economic solution to get the economy moving, obsolete government benefits and the risk/reward of keeping what you work for as the freedoms coming from our US Constitution should permit and protect.

Fantastic find, AB. And these guys (AP and the drive-bys) are supposed to be the “attention to details” guys. What ever happened to the basic “WHO, what, where, when” questions that used to taught in the first semester of journalism school? Those four questions have been replaced by one: how can I write something that will further my organization’s propaganda agenda?

Just checking in, only to see the most defeatist and self-centered bunch of codswollop since the LAST contested primary, when this site was anti-Bush.

Pffft.

We are asked to choose between two people in the general, and the choice is which one will be the best for the country. Romney may not be Ronald Reagan, but he sure ain’t Barack Obama!

I am voting for Romney. That’s all I have to say.

Have a nice week, everyone!

I’m praying our Romney haters live in states where it won’t make any difference. I appreciate their sentiments, but we’ll have to change the party from within the halls of Congress, or concede to socialism. One more progressive on the court and we’re screwed for the rest of our lifetimes.

I know of no one who’s left the TEA Party. With Obie’s abysmal record, and transparent desperation, we should clean house like ‘10.

It’s also occurred to me that Rick and Newt were more vunerable to Obie’s tactics. He has traditionally eliminated his competition with dirt. In the state legislature (Bobby Weed I believe), in the Senate (Jack Ryan). He didn’t quite eliminate Hillary, as much as beat her, but he had to use racism and white guilt to do it. The race card won’t work a second time, not with Eric Holder and Sharpton on the front pages creating race wars. It won’t be tolerated.

Whereas, Mitt and Ann look squeaky clean. They’ll be hard to eliminate. It’s not a good criteria for choosing candidates, I admit, but it’ll be reality and a positive if Romney is the nominee. TAGLINE

Thanks, Miss Marple. We can always count on you for common sense.

I’m trying to take a hiatus. Just saw Dick Cheney abused for supporting Romney. What a crying shame.

See you next week if we’re both still here.

Mitt has been singing a conservative song on the campaign trail in the last week AFTER Newt/Rick basically conceded, which has surprised me.

He’s sounding strong and good, to my ear. I can’t see how or why Romney would back track.

Yes, I worry about him somewhat—more than I would with Rick or Newt—but since he’s now targeting Obie, I like what I’m hearing. Many here expect him to move moderately to the middle, but I haven’t heard it yet. As Rush has said, Romney will need to be dragged to the right, but I think he can be, and will be. The reality is he may be our nominee. TAGLINE

And Ann Romney is a secret weapon not to be overlooked. Everytime Moosshhel opens her mouth sshhe’ll be trumped by Ann, in sshhhpades

I think Romney is more electable than Santorum would have been.

It would have been easy for the Obama machine to portray Santorum as a fanatic, which he is not, but he’s not been good about defending himself from such charges.

Ann Romney is definitely a plus.

Rush BETTER straighten it out because he had s maintained all ali that anyone, even Mickey Mouse or Elmer Fudd, could beat The One. His point was to convince the GOPe to fairly allow a conservative to emerge. But he also covered any of the candidates. Well, Mr. Fudd it seems to be, so get movin’ Rushbo.
