question — don’t Great Dane’s live very short lives? 7 or 8 years?
Unfortunately, from all I’ve heard, that’s true. My dog’s grandpa, however, made it to 12, so I have some hope.

That is what I’ve read, and one of the reasons (besides wife’s objections) that I never got one. It is hard enough losing a dog after 12-14 years, it just tears my heart out.
