Send those Poles on down to GA first so we can give them a big southern welcome. We will teach them what comes right after a rebel yell. Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm!

"...they'll drop precision bombs on our heads from airplanes we can't even see or hear. They'll strafe us will choppers that no deer rifle will have any effect on."

...because they could land and secure the airplanes on another planet. Yeah, right. I'm also prior service. Our military forces would actually refuse to follow an unlawful order, which order wouldn't be issued to begin with. In some ways, our nation continues to be cohesive. Even Lefty now likes firearms and respects the Second Amendment. The posted conspiracy story is a no-go and will incite no one but those who need their meds.

For anyone with half a clue about the history of the 20 Century, that is the only possible course of action in that situation.

One of the quotes on my profile page:

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

"In fact I remember Henry Waxman whining that there were an estimated 1 .50 cal rifle for each county in Michigan.(83 counties) but I hate to tell him but there are considerably more than that."

It would be more than that after the bolts of 30-06 and 300 Win Mags slap shut in the face of a confiscation effort.

Which law or laws are your referring to specifically?

Lots of people purchase their firearms in Maine from private parties.....through ads in the newspaper or “pennysaver” type magazines or word of mouth.

If you purchase from a gun shop, you have to fill out the paperwork, of course.

We have conceal carry, and I’ve seen guys walking around
with weapons in holsters. No shortage of gun racks in pickups, either.

Once every several years, some moonbat politician from the Portland (ME) area tries to introduce a bill restricting a gun right, and the bill goes nowhere fast. A majority of the dims in Maine want no part of “gun control,” because they know it’s a no-starter here.

I don’t believe it either. The family members that have come from Poland come across as loving freedom from Marxists more than we. I can see them taking guns from some wussy and handing them to some patriot that will use them, but that’s about it.

This could have come out of the pages of one of Travis McGee’s books.

Frightening.

I pinged Travis because I mentioned him.

You’re right.

Yes, the best way to tick people off is to bomb them, but do you think that a multi-national force bent on forcibly disarming America would really care much what people thought of them?

What happened to the politicians who ordered the multi-national forces to come and confiscate guns and want to hold office and be loved by the people in your scenario? Do you think they plan to hold power with 98% of the people wanting them dead?

"I’ve often heard it said that Michigan deer hunters are the world’s 5th largest army. (in the sense that Michigan is very heavily armed)
However there have been some 3,000 concealed carry permits handed out in my county alone since the law came into effect in 06."

Hmmm...These Michigan warriors don't seem to be doing much to protect themselves in the Grand Rapids area...The Cheka foot soldiers are running amok there and no one seems inclined to stop them.

That particular area of Grand Rapids is, I believe, known to everyone with half a brain as a place not to be.

The issue could be resolved, but it would require “extra-judicial means”.

Before this gets out of hand, let’s look at some facts. First there are at least 200 million firearms in the hands of private U.S. citizens. I’m confident that a certain percentage of these are owned by personnel currently serving, or who have served in the U.S. mililtary, or like me who are retired military.

I’m very confident that all career military and retired military would obey their oaths and refuse to disarm the American public, on the mere sayso of the President. Then there’s the issue of foreign troops on American soil, violating our Constitutional rights. It just ain’t gonna happen and should it happen, the life expectancy of those attempting to disarm the American public, will cause all those attempting to disarm, to be placed on the endangered species list.

I actually do live in NE. I grew up in RI and live in MA.

I know, there are more guns in Maine New Hampshire and Vermont than in Rhody and Masshole, but the fact remains that they are one and all secure blue states.

As I said, not many resistors.

Maine is not as securely blue as a result of the November, 2010 elections. We elected Paul LePage, a conservative TEA Party guy, as governor. Also, the Maine House and the Maine Senate flipped from dem-controlled to the GOP, the first time that has happened since the early 1960’s.
So, there’s hope.

Now, if we could only replace our two U.S. senators and two House members with conservatives.....it’s going to take awhile, but the four we have now need to be replaced.

When gun confiscation does occur, and it will, those who were foolish enough to get a permit will be the first to have their weapons taken away, one house at a time.
