Misinformation from U.S. Dept Of Health And Human Services About Islam And Female Genital Mutilation
Family Security Matters ^ | 16 April 2012 | Christopher Holton

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), sometimes referred to euphemistically as Female Genital Cutting (FGC) or Female Circumcision, is one of the most barbaric practices in the world today. It is prohibited by law in the USA and many Western countries. Moreover, several US states have outlawed FGM, while legislation is pending in some others.

Not enough is known about FGM in the USA and our federal government has clouded the issue by spreading false information about the practice.

A “Fact Sheet” produced by the US Department of Health and Human Services contains the following passages:

Although many people believe that FGC is associated with Islam, it is not. FGC is not supported by any religion and is condemned by many religious leaders.

No religious text requires or even supports cutting female genitals. In fact, Islamic Shari'a protects children and protects their rights.

This information is false and had it been produced in a privately produced document it would be considered outright fraud.

In fact, Islamic Shari'a protects children and protects their rights.

Yes as I understand it, it protects their right to marry older men their parents demand they do. It protects their right to be stoned until dead by family members on a whim. It protects their right to be stoned by members of their community. It protects their right to be treated as third class animals behind livestock. It protects their right to be free from the burden of making many of the personal choices available to women in most other nations.

Simply amazing, and disgusting...

Basic “rights” are a product of Christianity and subsequently codified into English law via the Magna Carta. Islam never had anything comparable. They speak of democracy, rights and liberties but are only PARROTING the words. They are totally unaware of the social infrastructure and culture behind it.

Matter of fact, because it is a product of Christianity and English law, it is totally antithetical to Islam.

Then they wonder why their following is soooooooo backwards.

I still ask to see the ONE contribution they have made to modern man whether it be a intellectual achievement or a beneficial invention.

The American Association of Pediatrics or some such MEDICAL association endorsed FGM until a howl of objections came in. 2010.

To be performed on girl babies. It was/is called “the little nick.”

Odd that this is the site carrying the story still, but here it is.....

“Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)”
See: http://www.world-mysteries.com/sci_fgm.htm

I suppose it’s like Trafficant’s 2-minute speech on the 1913 bankruptcy of the US. Boy, was that on some weird sites for awhile. That doesn’t mean he didn’t speak it.

Of course, Sheets Byrd’s tirade on Blacks is nowheresville. I wonder if you have to get clearance by keyword to see that 14-hour record in the Congressional Record.

The comments under this article from 2010 on FGM and the AAP are quite fitting.

Basic “rights” are a product of Christianity and subsequently codified into English law via the Magna Carta.  I am inclined to agree with this premise.

Islam never had anything comparable. Agreed.

They speak of democracy, rights and liberties but are only PARROTING the words. I agree here also.

They are totally unaware of the social infrastructure and culture behind it. You're on a roll.  ;^)

Matter of fact, because it is a product of Christianity and English law, it is totally antithetical to Islam.  Once again, I agree.

Then they wonder why their following is soooooooo backwards.  I tend to agree with this.  There are people out there who think the per-capita income of the Middle-Eastern nations isn't as low as we commonly believe, but I've never bought into that perception.  The CIA World Factbook feeds into this mindset, but if this were true, you'd see a much higher standard of living over there, and a much more productive contribution to humanity.  I'm just not buying it.

I still ask to see the ONE contribution they have made to modern man whether it be a intellectual achievement or a beneficial invention.  Well, there are claims that followers of Islam invented 'zero' and the basis for all higher math.  I've seen it argued both ways.  They also seek to claim they were the inventers of architectural arch and that the Romans stole it from them.
I view these claims about the same as the claims by those who say that The West was the reason why Africa didn't blossom.  I've not bought into that either.  When The West was blossoming, these other regions weren't.  They remained anchored to the Middle-Ages or worse levels of civilization.

You touch on an important issue here, without specifically mentioning it.  When Bush and others talk(ed) about Democracies springing up across the Middle-East, I think they made several key mistakes.

Number one, we're a Constitutional Republic.  Number two, Christianity and it's moral code is the glue that makes a successful Constitutional Republic possible.  As we see our own national Christian adherence fade, what happens to our Constitutional Republic?  It evidences a serious loss of cohesion.

This is evidenced in such simple ways.  People refuse to signal when they are going to turn.  "Screw the other guy.  I'm going to show my displeasure with the way things are, by not minding any rules."  This mindset goes from the bottom all the way to the top, as our elected officials now thumb their nose at our founding documents.  And sadly, the Republicans are right in there doing the same damned thing.

This must turn around.  Thanks for the note.  Great points.  In fact I think they touch the core of what ailes us as a declining Constitutional Republic.

“Well, there are claims that followers of Islam invented ‘zero’ and the basis for all higher math. I’ve seen it argued both ways. They also seek to claim they were the inventers of architectural arch and that the Romans stole it from them. “...... If islam, 700AD to now had invented the arch, you would see it all over the world of islam. Its like Africans saying Egypt was all African.... but if it was, you would have seen comparable structures all over Africa.... but! You don’t.

I once read that Islam obtained one of the books of algebra under threat of war, thus their introduction to Algebra. This is in keeping with the Islamic persona.

“Democracy” and rights are children of Christianity. Thus they are antithetical to Islam. The other world cannot understand these concepts until Islam is dead. Until then they will parrot the words and monkey the acts.

Clearly Christianity is the glue that made western man and the US of A. Once the glue fails, so does it’s infrastructure and decay sets in quickly. The marxo-muslim Obama regime is a direct challenge to what made America.

Obama by himself swaying the weak American is the greatest threat to America. What he has done to this point will be a challenge to recover from. A second term? America will be done. He will have open borders, subserviency to Islam, the UN in here disarming and dismantling in the name of Allah.

God forbid he get a second term!

He will have to forbid it, because Romney will not be able to stop him.
