Romney steps in it, says it’s time to move beyond Fox’s ‘true believers’

It is especially clueless, coming fresh on the heels of another Romney statement made at a fundraiser on Sunday:

“We are behind when it comes to commentators on TV. They tend to be liberal,” Romney said. “Where we are ahead or even is on twitter and on the Internet.”

Insulting people is not a way to stay ahead on Twitter, toots. Neither is diminishing Fox News when almost all of the mainstream media is carrying Obama’s water. Way to buy into the false Leftist narratives! Media Matters would be so proud.

It seems Mitt Romney has learned nothing from President Obama and his utter failures on Twitter. Tweeps have a few suggestions for Mitt Romney and hopefully he’ll heed them.

Romney has shown his arrogance, he thinks he has the ABO voters no matter what, so now to pick up democrats and any liberals along the way. He will need those liberals to get anything done. See his record. People are giving this man blind trust like many did with Obama.

I stopped watching all Fox News several months ago. Mostly because they exposed themselves as the Romney pimps they really are.

Romney crushed consrvative opponents with negative ads.

Now he talks a lot of BS about reaching out to the middle.

So what? What color socks does he wear? Or did he wear last Friday? Now THAT’s the kind of info I really care about.

Talk about chutzpah! This guy actually believes the primaries are over and he’s the nominee! Well, I’m hoping the Biblical proverb proves true: “Pride goeth before a fall.”

It couldn’t happen to nicer moderate!

I view this statement by Romney as meaning, it is now time for him to openly move to the left of the political spectrum.

Exactly right. This is a trial balloon floated by Romney to see the reaction, but he is still going to start shifting left now that Santorum is out. The reaction will determine just how much he shifts left.

Libspeak from the Rino King. If he’s a conservative then why bother to differentiate? This guy stinks like three days dead road kill.

Oh, good grief! How many in here rail against Foxnews as a clone of CNN or MSNBC? A great many. Are they now going to change course and defend Foxnews?

It’s a step upward and I’ll be voting Romney it looks like. Even though I was for Rick Perry, then Newt. I’ll vote for the dog catcher, anyone who runs against Obama who will give us a living hell in his second term.

This is the real link they’re twittering about on that Malkin link:

http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/romney-time-move-beyond-foxs-true-believers/482796

“Fox is watched by the true believers,” Romney told donors, according to the Wall Street Journal. “We need to get the independents and the women.”

Romney singled out CNN’s Wolf Blitzer as a good newsman, and today the campaign circulated a photo of Romney and wife Ann walking in Boston with ABC’s Diane Sawyer, with whom the couple is doing an extensive interview.

A few years ago, Pew Research did a survey of the partisan makeup of television news audiences and found that, while a lot of Republicans do watch Fox, so do a lot of Democrats and independents. “Democrats comprise a larger share of the Fox News audience than Republicans do of CNN’s audience,” Pew reported.

Pew found that 39 percent of regular Fox watchers are Republicans, while 33 percent are Democrats. For CNN, Pew found that 51 percent of viewers are Democrats, while just 18 percent are Republicans. According to Pew, 22 percent of Fox’s audience, and 23 percent of CNN’s, are independents.

Given the differences in audience size — Fox’s audience is far, far larger than CNN’s — Romney would certainly reach more independents, and perhaps even more Democrats, on Fox than he would on CNN. Yes, there are Republican “true believers” watching Fox — a group among whom Romney still needs to shore up his support — but there are a lot more people watching, too.

Where I am is Romney has to prove himself to get my vote. Unlike the McCain camp that repeatedly insulted those on the right.

On what day do you expect Romney will get the 1,144 delegates needed to clinch the nomination?

the north east is like another country.

Just today I met one woman from MA and one from BY and they called themselves republicans.

Once the conversation got going I got onto the homo agenda, cross dressing, guns etc.

Both of them took the lefts positions, no problem with queers because “they are nice and they know some”
Abortion is alright with them .
Guns kill and people should not carry them , little did they know until later I had my SIG229 on me.

Diversity, affirmative action etc is all the lefts stance with them.
The only part where they were slightly republican were their pockets and paying taxes.

Those two are not the few but from the ones I have met down here the norm and when I go up there it certainly feels like I’ve gone to another country

Thankfully they were only stopping off here and then going back up north, sadly some of them idiots come down here, say they like it down ehre and then try and change their new place down here to make it look like the crap hole they left

They have to have their avenue Sak 5th what ever it is called, Macy’s biking lanes, running lanes, parks all over, ball fields all over, .

same here, Not watched the shows I used to for months now, ever since they went after Newt

When you have a channel like FOX hiring Sally Khon or Kohn, a soros stooge, homosexual activist media matters then you know FOX is just as bad as the other outlets.

THEY DID!!!

I heard make up what ever and pretend the hero cos he never served Geraldo got his son hired there too, is that true?

Oh how Megyn Kelly must be so happy now.

If I have nothing to do and cannot sleep I will watch Greta other than that forget it now.

Not one proper conservative has a show on FOX and the likes of Hannity is nothing but a fraud which was proven over DADT and when he said he doe snot care who marries who.
The man has never mentioned any conservative social issues and yet there are still people on here who thinks he is a conservative and will give him money.

You’re a great American, ARF what ever Hannity you might have some fooled not all though.

There has to be one rich conservative who can open a news network and tell the real facts about those elected and not just cover certain types to protect their own pockets and power

Why can’t people see that the former is WAY better than the latter?

Because it's baloney.
