Ted Nugent, Bill Cosby, Jim DeMint, etc, etc, etc, all good men mislead by the "facts" presented to them. If any of them visited this forum regularly, their eyes would be opened.

My take is that Cosby is a lying, racist, leftist fraud.

Nugent and DeMint, on the other hand, seem to me to be at least as conservative and well-informed as the typical FReeper-in-good-standing.

My take on Bill Cosby is that he catches flak from much of the black population for his stance on integrity, self reliance, and equality. He has no time or patience for "black reparations". He frequently tells the black youth to quit the hand-out routine and making the same mistakes that dead beat parents do. He's one of the good guys, but not perfect. But all three of the men I listed and many others have a habit of "trusting without verifying". They take another man's word without consideration of the propensity the other man has for lying. Romney told Nugent that he wouldn't be a gun grabber in office. Nugent believes him. I do not. The difference between Nugent and I is that I have watched Romney talking out of both sides of his mouth since his 2008 election bid. I know he is liar and a flip-flopper. He has zero conviction and little integrity. If Nugent spent the time and energy to do the research, I'm confident he would come to the same conclusion I have -- the same conclusion the majority of this board has.
