Was hoping someone would post this..IF Rush can't reach the conservative voters ..who can? http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/04/17/does_romney_s_tax_plan_accept_the_premise_of_the_left_s_class_warfare " Does Romney's Tax Plan Accept the Premise of the Left's Class Warfare? April 17, 2012 BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Daniel Henninger said Mitt Romney is not naturally conservative. He's going to have to be nudged in that direction. That's true. It's not a particularly unique point, but still true. Now on Sunday night Romney was here in Palm Beach for a big fundraiser. Word has leaked out about some of the things that he said to the donors. These are things that he's not said publicly in terms of specifics on policy, and one of the things that he talked about was a tax plan. He wants to lower rates but eliminate some deductions for the rich. And I have to tell you, folks, I'm not comfortable with the Republican nominee talking about special plans for "the rich," special plans for "Hispanics"

Should this scare the establishment and conservatives? remember this was a "closed door" fundraiser!

LOL

Boehner and McConnell are the same lame ducks that support the Ryan plan that wouldn't even balance the budget until 2030 - and they call that responsible government. Obama gives us the fast track to hell while House and Senate GOP give us the slow grind to purgatory.

Not so sure Newt's in it to win now....Romney check mates by calling it before the NRC.....which pretty much prevents this going to convention.

The most Newt can do now is keep getting his message out there....he doesn't seem to be pulling any cards to play at this point and if he's got any he better get them down NOW.

Just like we have been finding out what our so-called heroes in conservative politics and conservative media are made of... this may be a turning point for Newt. He has always tried to play within the bounds of the party, not that he didn't chastise them, but he has a long and proud history of his accomplishments through the GOP.

He hasn't wanted to name a VP until the convention, because he felt the governors wouldn't help him if he did that, but if the rabid establishment does this Friday, it may be the green light for him to go totally rogue outside the GOP.

He is 68, the GOP has been his home, he does have friends and allies there, so we will see.

We will see. He won't do it immediately afterwards, but he can be coaxed, I am sure..

If he does do that, that is his gamechanger. I am in Florida, so is LTC West. A few of us are thinking of paying him a visit :)

Gird your loins because Friday will be very hurtful for the Newt faithful...

Does Romney's Tax Plan Accept the Premise of the Left's Class Warfare? April 17, 2012

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Daniel Henninger said Mitt Romney is not naturally conservative. He's going to have to be nudged in that direction. That's true. It's not a particularly unique point, but still true. Now on Sunday night Romney was here in Palm Beach for a big fundraiser. Word has leaked out about some of the things that he said to the donors. Rush and Mark Levin have both taken on the task of nudging Romney to the right, with their "continual on-air consulting" (which one wise freeper taught me is the way you can spot the stealth supporters long before they came forth, and he was right). Last night, Levin actually said, (paraphrase) you Romney folks gather round, this is the speech I would make... and Rush is doing the same thing. It is really quite something to hear...

They don't seem to realize, or they aren't dealing with reality sufficiently, to factor into their nudging effort, whatever romney says during the campaign, I don't care if he quotes rush and Levin and the others verbatim, THAT IS NO INDICATION OF WHAT HE WILL DO IF ELECTED.

I don't hold whatever Newt does from here on against him...I don't get that close to candidates to make that kind of difference.

When I saw Romney's ‘checkmate’ last night I thought to myself, well, they're simply not going to let Newt play his hand at all...Romney especially knew if there wasn't someway he could cut Newt off before that Newt would do him in. Debates were coming one on one and Romney was doing all he could to avoid this with Newt.

Romney's a chicken coward!...the only thing he could do was via ad bombardment on every single candidate.... because he certainly couldn't stand on his record, or be in position to have that called into account.... Neither could he risk loosing anymore popularity than he already started with...which nobody likes him as we know.

Obvious he's not close to a fighter, rather works behind the scenes with his dirty filthy hands....and it's not even him alone doing that, but largely the Gop gophers and his Mormon lackey’s pushing all the buttons. Romney simply rides the waves others create for him....just like Santorum...he's nothing without them...absolutely nothing at all!

.... They are all politicians ...so of course they know one another...and they battle one another...rather like attorneys and every other high field of endeavor....it's dog eat dog...but they all eat out of the same dish.

It's like there's a criminal lineup ...we have to choose the least of the criminals to lead. I'm frankly sick to death of it all....not sending a cent to any nor will I help any. Newt got my last dollar and that's it! I won't be throwing any more money at any candidate in any race. Not worth the sacrifice....especially now we've seen this play out as it has.

Romney knows that if he is opposed all the way into the convention and someone else is nominated and a vote is taken there, the delegates will vote for someone else to be the nominee.

Exactly...Romney's dream has been for years to be President...there' was nothing else to do. Pretty revealing that after eight years of running he STILL couldn't secure the title on his own merit......and he won't in the genreal either.

He's positioned now to stick his nose up for vindicating his fathers loss, and you can bet behind closed doors he'll be doing just that...... Additionally his Mormon lackey's will now insist their religion be acceptable as Christian, which they also failed for years to get recognition in the Christian Community......and his LDS leadership will now have sway over implementing, behind closed doors of course, their political agenda for our nation, and their agenda Internationally.

No doubt the entire Mormon church can funnel money, nationally and Internationally...and will not be tracked.... as their whole program has been one of secrecy and they have every thing solidly in place to do whatever.

It's a loose, loose for the USA....most don't realize it yet but they, with certainty, will.

However, I don't expect Romney to win.....if he does it'll be because he and those with him play as dirty as Obama.

Doesn't this sound and look like Mafia thugs battling for the "Godfather" position!!!

Well that too...bottom line is Romney and the GOP....and I'll also say the Democrates were not about to let Newt take them down...and he could have.

As far as all the other candidates...Romney could only firebomb them, or get others to do so.... and that's where many of the Mormonites came in...the idea was to make ALL Our Candidates Look Un-electable....thus by default Romney would appear electable.....

.... Because on his own it would never happen. That's why you never heard him say hardly anything worthwhile at the debates.....not only doesn't he have anything of his own, let alone the mind or ability to frame it....but the media was partner with this from day one.

As far as I'm concerned both parties are simply putting on a show....why?... In order for the public to continue to believe we have a governance by the people. I no longer believe that at all...we're the last bit in their equation except to fill their coffers with the monies they require to play their hands in the “underworld” we are not privy too.

Never thought I'd be one to consider these conspiracy theories.....but they surely have given reason to believe this is quite possible as they no longer can hide their moves with the Internet flowing with information.

I’m also beginning to wonder if both parties haven’t planned for Obama to be outed and Romney to continue where Obama left off.......they could move things along quickly, and behind closed doors, if everyone “relaxes” under the false sense that Romney’s going to change things...he could stall on any of his promises indefinately...and not hestiate to lie without a blink.

A very important post, Katie! A very foreign approach is the norm for Romney with a record full of tyrannical legislating affirming it.

This leak of Myth suggesting more of the same shouldn’t come as a surprise for El Rushbo either. This is what happens when we stand for no one. No one is what you get!

Why don’t they hold their endorsements and just go to the convention and make the decision there?

They are trying to help him get over the finish line.

Jim Robinson: Does anyone here think that guys like Boehner will fight against President Romney’s liberal/progressive programs when he starts pushing them?

Romney will convince them that gay marriage and gays in the military is the “right” thing to do. That man-made global warming is a real threat and we must fight it. That more stimulus spending is necessary to avoid depression. That big companies are too big to fail and must be propped up by big government. That the debt limit must be increased again and again to avoid financial ruin. And he will continue borrowing for the same reason. He’ll convince them that it’s only right for the “wealthy” like him to pay more in taxes and that the government cannot afford to cut anyone’s taxes. That we must raise more “revenue” to cover the costs of government without having to borrow so much. He won’t even dream of making drastic cuts in government to reduce costs. Will admit that ObamaCare is unconstitutional and devastating to the economy, but will claim that RomneyCare (its functional equivalent) is not and will push hard through his national health care task force to impose it on all fifty states. He’ll renege on his campaign promise to make all illegals go home and come back after applying for citizenship and claim that “comprehensive immigration reform” (shamnesty) is the right thing to do. He will not lift a finger to get Roe v Wade overturned and will appoint “moderate” judges to ensure that it will not be. He will not lift a finger to defend Life & Liberty. Never has, never will.
